About the home

This 3 bedrooms 134M2 bungalow,with private swimming pool at 30 meters from the sea, is spacious, tastefully decorated, highly maintained and offers comfort to couples, singles and families. Well equipped self catering it is located at Trou aux Biches.

Ground Floor:
The villa has a comfortable verandah with fan next to a pergola, transats, verandah chairs, table, potted plants and Barbecue.
Living and Dining room well furnished with fan, TV, radio cassette and telephone (local calls only), internet.
Fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, microwave, toaster, sandwich maker, oven, crockery, cutlery, coffee machine, rice cooker, kettle, glassware, pots).
Another kitchen equipped with (washing machine, iron, iron board available).
One visitors Toilet

First Floor:
One nice master bedroom with double bed and bathroom en suite. TV, hairdryer, bedside lamps, wardrobe, digital safe, dressing table and mirrors.

Well equipped self catering it is located in Trou aux Biches on the sheltered part of the North West coast of Mauritius where a 3 km beach of white fine sand within a short walking distance offers excellent snorkeling and swimming as it slopes gently into the warm azure blue ocean protected by the coral reefs.

A car is not necessary as the bus stop is not far from the bungalow. Should you wish to visit different regions of the island then a car is advised

Trou aux Biches once a peaceful fishing village, with its nearby primary school has expanded into a busy tourist resort with all water sports and other facilities. Within walking distance you will have the primary school, Popo’s Supermarket, Scubadoo, Atlantis Diving centre, a chemist, restaurants, 4 stars hotels, pizzerias and bus stops. Tour operators dodolidays offering excursion tours such as La Vanille Crocodile Park also known as Reserve des Mascareignes , Casela Bird Park, Chamarel 7 coloured earth's, Catamaran Sun set cruise, dolphin watching with Dolswim, Golf , Tennis, Fishing, Hiking at Domaine de L'Etoile, Water Ski, Valley de Ferney , Nature reserve Aquarium. Ile aux Aigrettes Mauritius wildlife sanctuary, bottle diving, trips to outer islands by Croisieres Australes specially the visit to Ile aux cerfs, deep sea fishing with Corsair.

Further north at 5 minutes drive or bus ride there is the sea resort town of
Grand Baie with charming shopping boutiques, restaurants on the water edge, Bars,
Night Clubs, The Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd and other Banks, Super U and Store 2000 Supermarkets, Doctors.

The beautiful and famous tropical garden of the Indian Ocean “Le Jardin de Pamplemousses” is situated at 20 minutes drive from Trou aux Biches , with its unique Talipot palm tree that flowers every 100 years and where giant Aldabra Tortoises, can be observed. Not Far from Le Jardin you can also go to visit L'Aventure du Sucre to discover the history of sugar cane on the Island.

The busy capital Port Louis is 40 minutes drive away with its museums, market and China Town, elegant Caudan Water Front and “Le Champ de Mars” with its colorful horse racing.

Trou aux Biches is on the sheltered part of the North West coast of Mauritius where

Dear Dominique and Gilbert,

I hope you had a pleasant Easter.

After escaping from the grim winter this year we have returned to the cool weather in Germany and are now enjoying the warmth of pullovers and coats! But the European spring can't be far away. Already the days are much longer and sunnier.

I would like to say how much we appreciated your hospitality. The bungalow was very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated. You have obviously given a lot of thought to details. Our favourite spot was the shady veranda.

Thank you also for quickly responding to our requests.

Mauritius has done well to invest in the "data highway". The Internet connection at the house enabled me to continue my business as though I hadn't left home. It was also useful for maintaining contact to family and friends all over the world.

We found that the bungalow was well located with regard to the beach, shops, restaurants and bus stops. At night it was very quiet and we could even hear the waves breaking on the reef. It was also a pleasure to be away from the international hotels in a typical Mauritian neighbourhood. The local people were always very friendly and courteous.

I will not hesitate to recommend your property to friends, and hope that we will remain in contact.

La maison est tres spacieuse, comfortable, rien n'y manque pour organiser son sejour. L'acceuil de Domiique et Gilbert est charmant et agreable. Merci a eux pour leur convivialite et leur sourire. Nous reviendrons les yeux fermes dans ce "home sweet home" ou nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous.
