The Mauritius North Coast/Grand Baie region
Trou Aux Biches offers the best and most sheltered selection of beaches and bays on the island.
NOTE: All beaches are public property, and there, for you to enjoy.
You can use any beach infront, infront of any house, hotel or establishment on the island.
Lots of local hotels charge day visitors a 'daily entry fee' offset against food or drink.
Other hotels offer a 'fully inclusive day pass' for day visitors to enjoy all the hotel facilities for the day.
The region offers mass water sports facilities:-
38 different SCUBA Dive sites for beginners to experienced SCUBA divers (bring your card) or take a course.
Incredible dedicated SCUBA day excursions to other islands and sites are run weekly.
Snorkelling, Waterskiing, Waterboarding, Surfing, Hobycat Sailing, Deep sea fishing Local fishing. etc
We organise SCUBA trips around the island especially to the East and West Coasts for variety.
Golf trips available to 7 of the most incredible courses in the world are available around the island:
Bellemar, Touessrok and Anahita on the East Coast, Belle Ombre on the South Coast and Le Paradis and Tamarina on the West coast.
My favourites are the catamaran cruises to the islands off the north coast of Mauritius. A marvel in paradise.
The Trou aux Biches area
Trou Aux Biches offers great local Mauritian food. The specialities here are Noodles or Fried Rice with vegetables and or chicken, prawns, egg, beef, octopus etc with a hot chilli compliment. The bars offer local Phoenix beer. Locally fresh caught fish such as Dorade, Yellow Fin Tuna all encourage locals to eat fresh fish bbq'd or grilled lightly with vegetables.
The Indian culture here has a huge influence on local cooking so curries etc are available with meat vegetables etc. The vegetarian dishes here are spectacular. You can manage to travel easily around the North by bus, bicycle, scooter, car or taxi, or minibus.
We are 45 minutes away from some of the worlds best golf courses and we offer to take you there as our guests to play incredible courses with spectacular scenery (we can hire you clubs to save travelling with). Horseriding, Hiking etc are also great sports to enjoy. Fishing is also a very popular sport here with Marlin, Tuna, Baracuda, giant squid etc locally caught.

Local Directions:
After a long journey to Mauritius, we strongly recommend we arrange our private chauffeur to personally collect you from the airport. He can meet and greet you, help you with your luggage, then drive you the easiest route North to Villa Ayr for cheaper than you can get an airport cab. If you are new to the island, you will struggle with the roads and lack of signs! Once settled we can hire you car locally for better rates.
If you are familiar with the roads, directions from the airport: follow signs to North, go through Port Louis. Follow Signs to Triolet. Follow signs to Le Maritim, then pick up signs to Balaclava, Pointe Aux Piments and stay on the coastal road till you reach Trou Aux Biches. Keep the sea on your left. 500 m into Trou Aux Biches your find us just after the very pink Hotel and Restaurant Villa Rose on your right - Villa Ayr is clearly visible.
From Grandbay, follow the coast road, keep the sea on your right. Go through Mont Choisi and keep going along the coastal road until you pass the Hotel Diamand Blue. We are on the left hand side. As your driver to call me on +230 7093453 if you get lost!
Taxi, Minibus, Helicopter can all be arranged. Nearest helipad in the Maritim.

These guys do fantastic bargains from London when they have a full plane! Ask them directly for their specials to Mauritius via Seychelles. It takes around 2 hours to drop off and take off plus airtime to Seychelles.
