Tropea boasts one of the world's most attractive and acclaimed beaches and an example of a beautiful historic traditional town with old cobbled streets, outdoor cafes and restaurants.
In the town the views continue over the beautiful white sandy beach and turquoise seas and the ancient church (see april's addition of 'Italia' magazine).
The private terrace along with the location is the focal point of the apartment with stunning views overlooking the Tyrannian Sea. Great views of the town of Tropea, the active volcano of Stromboli and gorgeous sunsets.

The Southern Italy / Calabria region
Tropea is a municipality located within the province of Vibo Valentia, in Calabria (Southern Italy).
The town is a famous bathing place, situated on a reef, in the gulf of St. Euphemia connected with the mainland by a narrow strip in the Tyrrhenian Sea, surrounded by beautiful beaches and vast mountain ranges providing great diversity throughout the peninsula.
The area basks in sun much of the year round with summer temperatures often in the 30 - 40C range with a cooling coastal breeze.
The warm temperatures and extended summer season mean this is an area that can be enjoyed much of the year round.
Tropea / Parghelia area

Tropea is situated on one of the most stunning coastlines, no wonder this coast is called “La Costa degli Dei”, the Coast of the Gods. Many regard Tropea as Calabria's jewel, the most picturesque of its towns. Tropea pulls off a rare trick by managing to be both unspoilt and fashionable, becoming one of the most sought-after places in Calabria.
This 17th century city built into the natural rock is a line with narrow streets and piazzas you will find typical Italian pizzerias, little restaurants, pavement cafés and shops. At dusk soak up the atmosphere in one of the cafes in the central piazza – the main evening gathering place during holidays in Tropea.
There is a coastal train service that will take you to other resorts and in the summer there are ferries to Sicily and the Aeolian Islands - including Stromboli volcano.
Within touching distance of Parghelia are a vast number of mountains that can be visited by car. There are a number of other coastal beauty spots close by but Tropea leads the way.
Scuba diving and fishing are both available to do through established companies on the Tropea beach front, as well as pedalo hire if you want to explore the bay from a different perspective.
