About the home

Charming traditional apartment in an antique building in the picturesque historical centre of Tropea. Fantastic sea site, framed by roof and bougainvillea plants. The beach can be reached by foot in 10 min. Large open living dining area + fireplace, 3 terraces, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. NEW comfortable sofa in the living room.
Beautiful white sandy beach, restaurants, market at walking distance. It can house up to 7 people. Wi-fi, TV.

The Tropea area

Tropea is possibly the most charming town in Calabria. The land, the sky and the sea combine to build up a harmonious whole rich in charming, unexpected views flooded by ever-bright sunshine. With wondering eyes, the visitor beholds myriads of hues glittering in the clear seawater washing the shores of small bays or clashing against steep cliffs. And the smaller and the lonelier the village, the homelier he will feel, and the broader the view of the vast free sea he will command from it.

Amidst this hilly countryside and coastal stretches, Tropea rises on a solitary rock jutting out into the sea, a city wich at every sunrise seems to awaken ever more beautiful to the mild murmuring sounds or stormy roaring of the sea, as lovely and enchanting as the goodness Venus featured in the famous bas-relief in the Trono Ludovisi.

Tropea, situed halfway between Pizzo and Nicotera, is the very prime jewel of this vast, magnificent natural scenery and sums up itself all of the multifarious charms of the whole region.

“Wonderful place” Tropea is a beautiful old town filled with antique houses, old Palazzi, shops and great fish restaurants! We were six people and felt very comfortable in this restored palazzo. Great terrace and ample living space. The bedrooms were on the small side but each one had a panoramic terrace. Cheers, B. Mueller

“Absolutely perfect!” The 3 bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment was absolutely perfect. It was extremely clean and spacious. The kitchen and dining area were large and easily accommodated 5 of us. Each bedroom had its own terrace, and a very large terrace was off of the common area by the dining room. It was awesome to watch the fireworks for the celebration of Madonna. The location of the apartment could not have been better. Right in the heart of the piazza. Every morning and every night we would have capucino at the corner cafe. We did quite a lot of shopping, and of course, the beach was only 10 minutes away. We also did sightseeing by train, which was only 12 minutes walk. We bought fresh meat and fish and fruits and vegetables at the farmer''s market. Renting a car would have been so inconvenient. Sabina, many thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful apartment. It was more like a villa and had every convenience possible. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was a dream holiday living in an antique 18th century Palazzo in the centre of town with its flowered terrace on which we would sunbath in the daytime and organize candlelit dinners at night. The house is near a spectacular panoramic view of the seaside and the beach is an easy walking distance. Wifi connection was good considering the area. Thank you! (Mrs. R. Winter, August 2011)
