Surrounding environment of Villa .

The residential village is located 4 km before Tropea , on the Coast of the Gods, which runs from Pizzo to Nicotera.

It's a beautiful coastline and there are very interesting countries by their natural scenery and also for their history. It is the ancient Magna Grecia and there are ancient villages that still retain their charm, as Pizzo, Tropea, Capo Vaticano and Nicotera...

The Tropea's mountains are very nice with “Monte Poro” and the Sila Mountains with authentic mountain villages such as “Serra San Bruno” with the famous “Certosa” and “San Giovanni in fiore” famous for their fabrics still made with hand looms.

A few miles into the sea there are the Aeolian Islands and from Tropea there is the daily link for visit them.

Far 80 km from Tropea there is the Museum of Reggio Calabria, with the fabulous Riace Bronzes.

Tropea is beautiful by the day to the night, it's all a lookout. It is full of characteristic restaurants, with tables positioned in old streets, there are also restaurants with sea view like the “Normanno” situated near the Norman Cathedral, the “Lido del Nonno” near the marina of Tropea, the “Cece Restaurant” situated in a characteristic square, the “Pimm's” on the spectacular "overlooking", “Pinturicchio” for the fabulous swordfish paccheri and many, many others with excellent cuisine that propose local product and fresh fish.

The Tropea's marina is very chic with bar, restaurant and amphitheater for shows.

During the summer a lot of events are organized in Tropea: concerts, shows, film and jazz festival, etc.. Many festivals are also organized by many others neighboring countries.

In Tropea there is also a good diving school.

In the Tropea's area some interesting markets are organized for selling typical and local products.

For food delights in the area there is plenty of choice.

You can buy fresh fish directly from the fishing boats at the port of Tropea or Briatico (but also in the fishmongers).

The ice creams are fabulous, the most famous are homemade Tartufo di Pizzo and the Stuffed Hazelnut, very tasty and typical are also the crushed ice-cream made with almonds, blackberries, prickly pears. In Parghelia there is a very good bar named Mazzitella (Pepè) that makes fabulous ice cream; even in Tropea there are numerous typical milk-bar with tables positioned in beautiful ancient squares.

In Parghelia there is also a good bakery named Peccati di Gola that makes delicious and huge cakes, where you can have the possibility to taste the characteristic Italian breakfast with cappuccino and croissants with nutella.

To not forget: the ricotta, the mozzarella, the “pecorino” of Monte Poro, the “nduja” of Spilinga, the “sopressata” etc ... I could go on and on with the list of numerous typical product produced in the area, but it is better to see and to taste than telling.

And if you do not want to go out for spending, you can order the expenses by phone at Supermarket Grillo of Parghelia that it is very close and in which you can have free-delivery at home.

popular markets.

in the area there are many popular markets.

In Tropea north every morning farmers and fishermen sell their products.

On Saturday morning in Tropea there are 2 big popular markets:

in Tropea north crafts and food, etc.

in Tropea south clothing etc..

Popular markets are also a Parghelia on Friday morning, in Santa Domenica on Monday morning, in Vibo Marina on Monday morning.

In Tropea there are many shops of local products: red onions, chilies, onion marmalade, jam mandarin etc. .. the licorice liqueur, the bitterness of the head, etc..

In the area there are also many supermarkets, in Santa Domenica there is a big CONAD.
