About the home

The lovely apartment has fantastic panoramic views of the sea and the old town of Tropea.

The cozy interior of the Casa Vincenzo with wooden beamed ceilings gives a pleasant living atmosphere. From the nice balcony and the roof terrace guests can enjoy the fantastic views to the sea and the historic town center of Tropea.

The recently completed holiday apartment has a lounge with dining area and kitchenette, a bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with shower. The apartment has air conditioning and satellite TV. The sofa bed in the living room provides a place to sleep for another person if required.

Ideal for a holiday without a car, but there is free car parking by the house.

The balcony has comfortable loungers and a hammock which allow to relax and admire the beautiful views. The roof terrace offers a 360° view

The local market with fresh fruits and vegetable, fish and meat can be reched in only 5 minutes walk. The train station can easily be reached on food in 10 minutes.
In less than 5 minutes walk you are in the historic town center with its restaurants, shops, bars and ice cream bars.

The Southern Italy / Calabria region

Calabria is the most southern point of the boot, to a large extent still unaffected by the mass tourism. Miles-long coasts alternating with white sandy beaches, lonely rocky bays, steep cliffs which dive into a sea of many shades of blue and turquoise colors, constantly changing landscapes and millennium-old history make this region of Italy very special.

Characteristic for his region is the 800 km long coastline, surrounded by the Ionian and Tyrrhenian sea and its hinterland. Although the sea seems ever present in Calabria, it is also a mountainous region with three main mountain ranges: the Pollino mountain in the North, the Sila in the Centre, and the Aspromonte in the South, all being unique with their own flora and fauna.
The Tyrrhenian coast, also called “Coast of the Gods”, because of its delightful landscapes, the clear blue sea, the colourful vegetation and the always bright blue sky begins shortly behind Pizzo (about 30 km south of the airport of Lamezia Terme) reaching Tropea – the gem of the Tyrrhenian sea, Capo Vaticano and Nicotera.
Calabria is a place where you can start your day with taking a swim on the fantastic beaches and end it with watching a spectacular sunset. Anyone who loves the sea will appreciate the mild climate and the clear sea with its magnificent blue colours and its clearness which has been awarded the Blue Flag of Europe for several years.

The Tropea area

Tropea is an exclusive seaside resort with a modern tourist and fishing harbor and has one of the prettiest and best preserved historical town centers in the region.

This lively small coast town also called “Saint Tropez” of the south, has a magnificent medieval town centre with impressive old aristocracy town houses and numerous churches. Its beautiful lanes and squares with restaurants, shops and bars invite for taking a stroll.

On a small rock, which is connected with the land, the “Isola Bella” (beautiful island) with the lovely church S. Maria dell Isola arises like a landmark within the crystal blue sea. The marvelous white sandy beaches and the beautiful sea make Tropea a perfect place for a summer holiday.

The closest airport is Lamezia Terme (SUF) situated in the centre of Calabria, about 50 minutes drive from our holiday home.
From Lamezia Terme it is advisable to either take a rental car or to take the train from the train station Lamezia Terme Centrale (about 1km away from the airport to be reached by shuttle-bus).

We can also arrange for the transfer from the airport (Euro 80).
