The bustling harbour attracts anglers, sightseers and yachting enthusiasts who can enjoy the excellent facilities of the 300 berth Troon Yacht Haven which is one of the Clyde's leading sailing centres.
A full range of recreational pursuits is available including an indoor swimming pool, squash and tennis courts and bowling greens.
Troon has an amazing six golf courses, including Royal Troon, which regularly hosts the Open Championship, and did so most recently in 2004.
A good selection of restaurants and wine bars will refresh you after you have browsed through the many individually owned shops which offer something just that little bit different.

The ferry port in Troon has daily sailings to Belfast.

This flat was very well equipped with everything you need from coffee, tea and milk to laundry soap. It was very cozy and warm and surprisingly quiet being on the ground floor. In fact we never heard another person our entire stay. The location is great, a two minute walk from the beach and the town, and the ample parking behind the building was a great plus. My boys loved the very large TV and that they had separate beds and I loved how clean and spotless the flat was. Would recommend it to friends and family. |

A well equipped, clean modern apartment. Excellent central location in Troon for all the local amenities with off road parking. A good base location from which to visit other towns such as Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow and even further north - we even managed Fort William in a day. There were 7 adults in our party and we coped very well, even with one bathroom! On top of that we also had 4 of my dad's sister's descend on us one evening for a drink and we still managed to fit in comfortably. We were most impressed with how well equipped and modern it all was and would have no hesitation in using it again or recommending it to friends and family. |
