The Liege region
Liège, daughter of the Meuse river. Liège is called 'La cité ardente' (the fiery city). A city at the crossroads of Northern and Southern European culture. Liège is an old industrial centre which faces the challenge of adapting to the 21st century.
Nowadays Liége is a rapidly changing city where old meets new. Take a walk through the old city centre and discover the typical traffic-free alleys and shopping streets where terraces abound.
Visit the central St. Lambert square where a new modern Liège is growing. Take a walk alongside the banks of the majestically flowing Meuse river and see Liège from a distance.
Liège is also the city of GEORGE SIMENON (1903 - 1989), the creator of police detective MAIGRET. Simenon was a very prolific writer. His enormous literary production has been translated everywhere in the world. He wrote hundreds of novels and stories, both under his own name or under a pseudonym. In 1931 he started the series of Maigret stories. Of humble beginnings, he has become one of the most popular novelists of the 20th century.
This is a splendid, traditional Ardennes holiday home with a view of Trois Ponts. The home is situated on a mountain and offers a splendid view of the valley. There is a forrest just across the road which is perfect for walks. You can reach the centre of Trois Ponts within a few minutes. There you can take the train to Luxemburg or Liège. The route is one of Europes ten most beautiful railway trips

"wonderful through and through!"
My friends and I (12 in total) had an absolutely wonderful time. We were so impressed with the owner's hospitality and everything from the grand design of the house to the smallest details. You can tell they really care about their guests and the time they spend there. I would recommend this house for a group of people anytime - we may even go back at some point!

"Wonderful House, Wonderful location; Just a Little Problem with WiFi and Laundry"
I selected this house for our group of eleven friends and family (ages 19 to 88) who were touring the Battle of the Bulge sites. In our group were two WWII combat veterans. The location was excellent… More
We regret the inconvenience during your stay. Indeed the fact that there was no washer and dryer ready was a communication failure we made. At this time a new washer and dryer are up and running!!! However the problem with Wifi was due to a technical failure outside the house and beyond our "powers", unfortunately!!!. Wifi was running however there was no internet available to transpond. Technicians from Belgacom are still working on a solution.Of course we regret the inconvenience. We are very happy that your stay was very pleasant despite these two topics. Paul & Christien

"Superb house - couldn't fault it"
This was an excellent house for a large group and the owners, Paul and Christine were really kind and helpful. We travelled as a group of 10 motorcyclists and on arrival Paul kindly drove us down to the supermarket to stash up on those hard to manage on a motorbike crates of beer! The house was spotlessly clean and had everything one could wish for in it. The kitchen is particularly well equiped which made cooking meals for the group a pleasure. We took to walking down to the supermarket each morning to get supplies along a delightful path by the river. It only took 10 minutes and was ideal for us, meaning we didn't have to worry about transporting food on the bikes each day. Some of the group walked down to the village for a drink one evening although much of it was closed by the time they got there. Trois Ponts is not a place for nightlife!
The weather was, I have to say, exceptional - cloudless blue skies and 25+C every day which could go partway to explaining why we had such a good time! As the weather was so good we tended congregate outside and the shelter in the garden was perfect. If the weather hadn't been good then the lounge was lovely and had plenty of seating. I noted, although we didn't use them, that there were a lot of games, books etc for rainy days.
As an area the Ardenne is beautiful and for motorcycling the roads were superb. I would definately recommend this house for anyone looking to rent a large property in the Ardenne
