Barn | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 2
The barn is a charming and romantic studio style split level conversion with kichen area, sleeping platform, sofa, small dining table and wood burning stove above, and a spacious bathroom and small storage/ dressing room below. Its crowning glory is a stunning, south facing slate terrace and garden planted with climbing roses, flowering shrubs, herbs and olive trees, and with a large tile topped table. It really is like having another large room as you can virtually live outdoors in the warmer weather, enjoying everything from breakfast to a late night drink under the stars. A good sized parasol provides shade in the hottest part of the day.
The view is beyond description and you can watch the birds, enjoying the thermals rising up the valley, actually flying beneath you.
The barn is also very conveniently situated with parking a very short distance away, and the historic centre of Triora with coffee bars, restaurant and a variety of shops just 'down the hill', yet it also tucked away and peaceful.
Listed as one of the 100 most beautiful medieval citadels in Italy, Triora, in the region of the Ligurian alps, is the perfect location for those who love nature: - actively with mountain hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, river swimming (although the Riviera coast in only a 40 minute drive) and exploring the traffic free streets of the medieval centre, or more passively with watching, reading, day dreaming or meditating. The town sits near the top of the lovely Argentine valley, and there are many other beautiful villages all the way up and beyond - each with a fascinating history, character and speciality food of its own. Ligurians LOVE food!
