The Jersey region

Jersey, the largest and most southerly of the Channel Islands, with over 450 miles of roadway (comprising a mix of roads and small lanes) as well as a network of over 46 miles of green lanes with a speed limit of 15mph (24kph) where priority is given to walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

The island is well known for its truly magnificent sandy beaches, sheltered coves and crystal clear waters. Inland, winding lanes take you through delightful countryside. Warmed by the waters of the Gulf Stream, Spring arrives early and Summer lingers on. The weather here consistently tops the UK resort charts for sunshine hours and temperature. Jersey is the most southerly of the Channel Islands and summer temperatures average 20C.

The French flavour is all around with French sounding names, continental style bistros, restaurants and pavement cafes. You do not need a passport to visit the Channel Islands unless you intend taking a day trip to France which is a short hop away by sea or air. You will need proof of identity for flights and sea travel to the island.

Some of Jersey's popular events include the Battle Of Flowers (Second week of August), world famous music festival Jersey Live (first weekend of September), International Air Display (Second week of September) as well as many other local festivals and fetes throughout the year.

Whilst the island is served by a bus service, your own transport is highly recommended - either your own car or a hired car or bicycle to make the most of your visit.

Trinity

The cottage is situated just 6km from the main town of St Helier with its shops, bars and restaurants to suit every taste and budget. From here visitors can take a ferry for a day trip to France or the other Channel Islands.

The central location makes this a perfect base for touring the whole island. The lovely Bonne Nuit Bay, on the north coast, is just a short drive away, as is the scuba diving centre at Bouley Bay. All of the beaches and amenities of the whole island are within a half hour drive. The north coast has panoramic views and can be accessed by the stunning North Coast Cliff path walk.

"A fantastic holiday rental to be highly recommended!"

This self-catering cottage was of an extremely high quality and standard. It was well finished and furnished, spotless and very comfortable indeed. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the cottage was well situated. It made our stay much more bearable whilst the weather let us down. We all slept very well too! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone.

Thank you for your review on Le Hurel. They are very popular for all the reasons you listed! We are pleased you enjoyed your stay in the beautiful cottages and that you were more than satisfied with everything they had to offer.
