This splendid 19th century villa is situated in the charming town of Tricase Porto. The house is located in southern Puglia, more precisely in the Salento area. The property is surrounded by a garden that faces the town's small harbour. From the garden a beautiful double stairway leads to the loggia from where you can enjoy a pleasant view of the town and the sea.
On the Mezzanine floor you will find two lounges, a dining room, a study, and double bedroom with bathroom (including shower). This floor also has the kitchen and laundry room. A stairway leads you to a wing on the first floor with one double bedroom with en suite bathroom (and changing room), there is also one twin bedded room, one small bedroom with two single bunk beds and one bathroom with bath. You will also find a second stairway which leads to one double bedroom with bathroom with bath and changing room.
Outside of the property you'll find two outbuilding; in the first property on the ground floor there is one double bedroom, one twin bedded room and a bathroom with shower. In the second outbuilding you can find one double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

The Puglia/Molise region
Apulia (Italian: Pulgia) is a region whose variety is its greatest wealth. The Gargano promontory plunges into the sea alongside famous resorts such as Rodi Garganico, Peschici and Vieste whereas inland there are pine, holm-oak and beech forests that lead to the Umbra forest. It is in Apulia that you will see the famous “trulli” of Alberobello, picturesque white houses with conical shaped roofs and of very ancient origins and then there is the Grotte of Castellana which is Italy’s largest spelaeologist centre.
The countryside offers very fascinating views which are sometimes sunny and barren, at other times there will be vineyards, almonds and olive groves. Apulia is not without its Roman, Norman and Angevin historic and artistic treasures either. In the heart of the Salento is Lecce, Florence’s Baroque rival – a city which is an authentic festival of Baroque and Roccoco styles. Visitors will be fascinated by its strange and fascinating golden colours which result from the Apulian stones.
Tricase area
The property is within 100 m of a small port, bathing areas (no beaches) and grocery shops, Tricase is also close where youc can find all kinds of shops, tennis courts and swimming pools (3 km), Otranto (30 km), Lecce (45 km) and Brindisi airport (75 km) are all withing reach.
Local Museums of note include: The Museo Provinciale Sigismondo Castromediano (viale Gallipoli 28, Lecce) and the Museo di Paleontologia and Paletnologia (Via Vittorio Emanuele, Maglie).
Annual events of note include: The Festa di San Nicola - a procession in historical costumes which culminates in a large gathering in boats by the followers in boats to pray in front of the statue of the saint, Bari (7-9th May). The Holy week celebrations: large religious processions in Taranto (March/April/May – variable each year) and : Festival della Valle d'Itria, Martina Franca (July/August).
Restaurants that offer something special for Cuendet clients: Il Poeta Contadino (Via Indipendenza 21, Alberobello) and Osteria degli Spiriti (Via Battisti 4, Lecce).
Other suggested restaurents: Trullo d'Oro (Via Cavallotti 27, Alberobello) and Da Sergio (Corso Garibaldi 9, Otranto).

Saturday is both the day of arrival and the day of departure and the minimum rental period is one week. The arrival/departure must take place as follows: Arrival between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., Departure between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.
In case of “Short Breaks” the arrival and departure day must be agreed with Cuendet at the time of booking. Deposit - always requested. To be paid on the spot to the owner or his/her representative in EURO (cash). Generally, the cleaning service is to be paid to the owner or his/her representative directly on location. When the costs of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning and heating are not included in the rental price, they must be paid directly to the owner or his/her representative before departure.
If it is not otherwise indicated in the property description, the standard width of the beds are 160 cm (for two people) and 80 cm (for one person). Baby beds are to be requested at the time of booking. Usually the swimming pool is available in the following periods: from 01/05 to 30/09. If the swimming pool is heated, the heating cost is to be paid on the spot to the owner/keyholder. Any costs due to telephone usage must be paid on the spot to the owner or his/her representative before departure. In general, linen is included in the letting price and is provided with a weekly change (if not otherwise specified in the property description). Linen for any baby-beds is never provided. The towels mentioned are for indoor use only. Towels for the pool are never provided.
If pets are allowed the holiday-maker is obliged to advise CUENDET at the time of booking if he/she is bringing a pet, stating its type and size as well. Small sized pets are considered animals that do not exceed 8 kg in weight. Any costs relative to pets is specified in the description of the property. It is compulsory for the holidaymaker to supervise his/her pet within the communal areas of the accommodation.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE: It is possible to book the house excluding 1 or both of the outbuildings which are more simply furnished compared to the standards of interiors of the villa. The small bedroom in the villa with bunk beds is more simply furnished than the others and is suitable for children
