Home description
Villa Vedana is a manor house of the 18th century, carefully restored respecting its ancient origins. It is located a few steps from the centre of Codognè, a small village in the Treviso country, chosen by the ancient noble Venetians as favourite place for their country houses, all of them stupendous and of great historical value. Even being near the highway exits of Conegliano and Sacile, Villa Vedana offers peace and tranquillity, surrounded by a garden of 1500 sq m, rich of secular and fruit trees, and completely encircled from by the ancient walls. Villa Vedana and its large garden, swimming pool and parking is suitable for a large group of friends or a large family.Short excursions can be done to many interesting places reachable in less than one hour: Venice, the beaches of Jesolo, Caorle, Bibione, Lignano etc., the magnificent Dolomites and Cortina D'Ampezzo, the art towns of Padua and Vicenza. In short distance are Asolo, Castelfranco, Cittadella, Treviso, Oderzo, Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto and many others. The area is well known for wine production, such as the sparkling "Prosecco" and the wine roads (white and red) are to be mentioned: there one can visit many wine cellars and small restaurants. The villa is well furnished with antiques and the whole is in high standard. Villa Vedana can accommodate for a full capacity of 10-11 people.:

The North East Italy / Veneto region
Nearby Attractions: When you explore the Veneto itself, you'll find it a fascinating region. One of Italy's wealthiest areas, it has fascinating cities in Verona, Padua, Vicenza and Treviso and, around Conegliano, one of Italy's main agricultural centres - with vineyards, fruit farms and dairies. Pay a visit to Conegliano and you will find yourself at the heart of the Prosecco production in the area. Padua, meanwhile, is one of the most ancient cities of northern Italy, dating from its Roman origins in 45BC. Its big student population creates a buzzing, vibrant atmosphere, and it has some important artistic sights, in the shape of the Giotto frescoes and relics of St Antony, its patron saint. Verona runs Venice a close second as the most picturesque of the towns of the Veneto. With a multitude of Roman sites and streets of pink mediaeval buildings, it's well worth a day at least, yet is far less busy with tourists than Venice. And then there is Venice itself, with its canals, languid gondola rides, the splendid Basilica San Marco and much more. Offering culture, sport, enjoyment of some marvellous local restaurants and much more, your Venetian villa is perfectly placed - yet secluded and offering a relaxing Italian holiday.
