The Dordogne is one of the most beautiful departments in France; as popular with the French as it is with other nationalities. The surrounding area is packed with prehistoric attractions, chateaux, bastide towns, watersports, local markets and great restaurants.

Trémolat is a smallish village nestled in a loop of the Dordogne river. It has 3 restaurants, bakery, post office and a general store.

In addition, Trémolat is home to the Basin Nautique waterski school which hosted the International Wakeboard Championships in 2008.

"Had a great time - would definitely recommend"

I stayed here for a week in July with my girlfriend and 9 month old child.

Location was ideal and the accommodation & facilities are of a very high standard (especially for young children).

Was great to have a pool on site and the villages along the Dordogne are beautiful and well worth a visit.

David was a very helpful & friendly host and we are all very glad we went.
