About the home

Casa Elisabeth is situated 5 metres from the lake in the centre of Tremezzo, a small bustling town with all amenities close to the mid point of the lake. This position makes the apartment ideal for visiting Lugano, St Moritiz (Switzerland) as well as Bellagio and Como Town.
The open plan layout of the apartment provides spacious accommodation for 6 people (Adults) and therefore also suitable for families.

The apartment has a large open plan space containing the living room, kitchen and lounge. The double bedroom has a Kingsize bed, the second bedroom contains 2 single beds and lounge area has a double sofa bed. The bathroom complete with bath, sink, toilet and also houses the washing machine
Both living room and lounge areas overlook a tiled terrace and private garden

The private garden is lawned and the terrace comes complete with garden furniture (table and chairs), BBQ and Parasol overlooks the lake with views of Bellagio.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

The Lombardy has a wealth of history, steeped in culture and famed for its cusine.
Lake Como has bee loved as holiday destination by lots of travellers, thanks to the beauty of its landscapes, its charming villas looking onto the lake and its typical ancient villages.
The climate is perfect for water based activities as well as winter sports snowboarding and skiing.
and therefore makes Lake Como an ideal location for both summer and winter holidays.
The area contains the homes of many celebrities and wealthy Milanese have second homes dotted along the shoreline

The Tremezzo area

Tremezzo has many restaurants specialising in typical “Cucina Lariana”, which includes many fish dishes using fish freshly caught on the lake.
Menaggio 5 minutes drive has a Lido, crazy golf and an array of restaurants to suit all tastes it is the gateway to Lugano and ferries to Bellagio (the pearl of the lake)
In the nearby town of Lenno there is a lido with exclusive beach (sand) is a popular place in the day for beach lovers, and equally as popular in the evening when it is transformed at sunset into a plush bar ideal for aperitif and then into the evening for restaurant food and lastly open air disco.
For sports lovers there is ample choice with tennis, golf (3km) and horse riding (4km) close by whilst further a field there is windsurfing (15km) and Ski Resorts (100 - 150 km).

“Stunning” We stayed at Casa Elisabeth for a week. The weather was very good considering it was the end of October (minus a day when it did rain heavily). The apartment is lovely, with stunning views overlooking the lake and mountains. The surrounding area was equally beautiful and all the locals very helpful. We went on the ferry to 4 different places surrounding the lake (at a cost of 12 euro, this was for unlimited use of the ferries all day if wanted). The food was divine, would recommend El Timon restaraunt where the whole family enjoyed food, it was so nice we went back again. We did hire a car, so drove into Como (half hour drive) but there are buses that go there. A bit of advice, if you do hire a car be prepared to drive on narrow roads around the lake, with the occasional erratic driver beeping that we wernt driving fast enough! Overall the apartment and area stunning but we believe a week is long enough for the area.

It was absolutely beautiful – very spacious and comfortable, and furnished to a very high standard with every convenience. The view was spectacular and it was lovely being able to sit in the garden and enjoy the use of the barbecue.
