A fully equipped family-friendly kitchen with a gas hob oven provides the perfect area in which to prepare and cook delicious home cooked meals, with fresh local produce from the food markets and delicatessens.

The sleeping accommodation is flexible and versatile with two bedrooms which comprise a spacious master bedroom with double bed and balcony access and a second room with bunk beds also enjoying mountain views.

A modern fitted bathroom with fitted shower and a corner bath completes the accommodation.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area region

The Italian Lakes are a little slice of paradise. Elegant ribbons of blue water stretch out ahead, folded into the sun-baked foothills, with a spectacular back drop of the snow-capped Alps.
Lake Como offers hidden treasures just waiting for the visitor to discover them: charming corners forgotten by time, lakeside villages where nothing seems to have changed for centuries.
It is steeped in history with an immense collection of churches, architectural masterpieces and works of art covering the centuries. The lake is situated in a basin surrounded by wooded mountains, and offers an extremely varied landscape, with its' shores featuring a succession of pastures, and woods as well as harsh and impressive rock formations.
All this alongside elegant, lakeside villas with sub-tropical gardens, which provide a haven of peace and tranquillity and chic resorts such as Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio and Como itself.
Warming, in spriing and graced with natural beauty, the lakes are still a place to draw breath and wonder. Lake Como, oriented north-south, ringed by characterful old villages often wedged onto narrow beaches between rugged cliffs and water. Those classic lake images of flower strewn balconies, Baroque gardens and splendid waterside villas can be found here in abundance. Dotted around and between the lakes are some of Italy's finest art cities, such as Milan, Verona & Bergamo.

The most romantic and picturesque villages on the lake are Santa Maria Rezzonico, Varenna (15 min by ferry) & Bellagio (8 min by ferry), Lenno (visit Villa Balbianello, location for 007's Casino Royale as well as Villa Gaeta, right here in Menaggio) & Laglio (where George Clooney owns Villa Oleandra).

The Tremezzo area

From Tremezzo a frequent bus service operates northwards to Menaggio and southwards past the quaint lakeside villages to Como city. A fast passenger ferry service from the town also provides a service to Como city and the nearby main ferry stop of Cadenabbia provides frequent crossings to the famous ‘golden triangle’ resort towns of Varenna, Bellagio and Menaggio.

Some of the most famous attractions of Lake Como are within a 10 minute drive away such as Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello. Guests will be spoilt for choice for activities on the central lake from swimming, spending the day at Lido di Lenno and Lido di Menaggio, cycling, hiking, canoeing, power boat rental, tennis, golf, quad biking, relaxing at Lenno’s La Dolce day Spa or simply enjoying an unforgettable lakeside walk; the beauty with this holiday is you decide!

The area of Tremezzo is one of the most popular tourist attractions on Lake Como and is located on the western shore. For some time now Tremezzo, along with the villages of Lenno and Mezzegra, have become a 'commune' known as 'Tremezzina'. Nestled in a sheltered bay, midway between Mezzegra and Cadenabbia, gives the village an ideal location.

Tremezzo has been inhabited since Roman times and many ancient ruins are still visible today. At one time wars between Como and Milan involved the town and it was completely destroyed, but it did recover and then became part of the Visconti area. From around the 1600's the town again began to flourish which saw business grow with other European countries.

There are many places of interest in this area, but the spectacular 'Villa Carlotta' is without doubt the most famous tourist attraction in Tremezzo, it is open to the public and a visit here is essential. Built in 1690 for the Milanese Marchese Giorgio Clerici, it has fountains, sculptures and a magnificent Italian garden. Another outstanding attraction is the statue of the Madonna Nera (the Black Virgin). The Swiss Catholic Aschler family initially brought the statue to Italy and it is now on show at the Church of Santa Maria.

Making a Booking:

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
