Home description

This lovely stone fronted cottage is a holiday retreat that you’ll want to return to again. The cosy and comfortable accommodation includes three bedrooms; fully fitted kitchen; dining room; and a sitting room with polished wood floor and original features including exposed beams, and patio doors that open onto the delightful garden. North Cornwall’s many visitor attractions and amenities, and the surrounding rolling meadows, spectacular coastline and soft sandy beaches are all within easy reach of The Boat. The village pub, restaurant and shop are just a short stroll away from this pleasant holiday cottage.






The West Country / Cornwall region

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Or could it be the cliff-top theatre at Mynack, working harbours, the world famous Eden project or St Michaels Mount, cut off from the mainland by a causeway. Or even the endless activities on offer; the Camel Cycling and Walking Trail, stunning coastal paths or the National Surf Centre at Newquay’s Fistral beach. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.


Tregony area

The ancient village of Tregony is situated at the head of the attractive Roseland Peninsula, and it is made up of a main street populated with old Cornish properties. Tregony is in a wonderful position for discovering the many attractions that this region has to offer, including the world famous biomes of the Eden Project, the fascinating National Maritime Museum at Falmouth and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The impressive Cathedral city of Truro is also close by and offers a shopping centre, restaurants and a theatre and ancient cobbled streets. A number of safe, sandy beaches are to be found nearby, and the coastal path that meanders over the cliffs and down through the coves offers some great walking opportunities through incredible scenery. The popular surfers’ destination of the wild north coast is an easy drive away for a day on the waves.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

,The cottage was fantastic - and the welcoming gifts of flowers and wine was a thoughtful touch - especially as it was our honeymoon! Tregony is an excellent base for exploring Cornwall. Would definitely recommend the cottage and Sykes Cottages to anyone. Sykes have been excellent and everything went very smoothly - well done!!
