Home description
Located in the heart of the countryside, Carwinnick is within easy access to both north and south coasts, Truro, Heligan & Eden. The two barns which are of cob & stone have been recently renovation to a high specification with central heating and double glazing. Liitle Carwinnick has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, bathroom with bath and shower over and first floor spacious open plan living room/kitchen with exposed beams. Carwinnick Barn has three bedrooms, two double both with en suite shower rooms and one twin. There is a further bathroom with shower. The barn was originally planned to have 4 bedrooms, but we decided to have a large landing area where there is a leather sofa and picture window. Upstairs has solid oak flooring except for the bathrooms which are tiled. On the ground floor there is a large lounge with exposed stonework and log burner, separate kitchen with built in appliances. The barns front the original farm yard and have been laid out with extensive limestone patios with teak garden furniture and form a real sun trap catching the setting sun allowing for alfresco eating weather permitting .To the rear of the barns ther is a drive with ample parking, lawned area, paddock and bluebell wood.
Each property has its own character and is available individually sleeping 6 & 4 respectively from £299 per week

The West Country / Cornwall region
Pam & I moved to Cornwall in 2005 and to Carwinnick in 2006. We love both! If you are looking for peace and quiet, the main disturbances are owls, pheasants and the cry of the buzzard. We live on site in Swallows Barn (there are plenty of those too!). Whilst converting the barns we also found we had a wide variety of bats including both Greater and Lesser Horseshoe!
As we are on site we are only too happy to recommend a local walk, pub, restaurant or beach. I play golf at Perranporth but can recommend other golf courses in the area.
Carwinnick is a delightful rural retreat on the edge of the Roseland Peninsula, yet convenient for both the north & south coasts. Truro is 20 minutes drive and beaches on both the north and south coast are readily accessible.
Tregony / Carwinnick area
We are located on the edge of the Roseland Peninsula, a hidden gem of unspoilt beaches and rolling countryside and acknowledged as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have walked extensively on the coastal paths and have several circular walks for the energetic. We can organise golf locally and keep trying the local hostelries and restaurants if advice is needed. For those wishing to visit the excellent Lost Gardens of Heligan & Eden these are 4k & 11k away. There is a thriving street market in Truro (13k) on Wednesdays & Saturdays and this cathedral city is well worth a visit.

Guestbook for Carwinnick Barns
"We had a great week at Carwinnick Barn. A wonderful location - peaceful and restful and with easy reach of both coasts - the best of both worlds! We enjoyed some great coastal walks and unspoilt beaches. The barn was very comfortable with everything we needed - really first class accommodation! We will be back!
Nick, Angie, Georgia and Tamsin Oakley, Worcestershire."
"Very comfortable and cosy cottage, lovely country, enjoyable stay
David & Julia C Hambledon"
"Thank you Nigel and Pam, we have all thoroughly enjoyed our week staying at Carwinnick. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped, your local knowledge on places to visit and eat at were much appreciated. We found it very easy to get to all parts of Cornwall from Carwinnick which made it an ideal base for exploring the county"
