This is our Starlight Yurt situated at Trellyn Woodland Camping. Set in its own individual area in 16 acres of mixed meadow and woodland, it is just a few hundred yards from the sea and beach at Abercastle in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
The Starlight yurt is one of several glamping structures on our property, it is beautifully furnished with a feather duvet, real antique rugs and wall hangings and rustic solid wood furniture over a solid oak floor. For comfort we have a wood burner and an internal camp kitchen for food preparation. Outside there is a lower lawn area for your sole enjoyment with its own dedicated covered fire pit area , picnic table and stargazer bench.
There are only ever a maximum of 40 or so guests onsite spread out over the 16 acres at any one time, so this is a very quiet and exclusive experience perfect for families and couples. You can just sit back and retreat to your own bit of Pembrokeshire or engage with the wonderful natural environment the area has to offer.
On site we have a wood fired sauna and wifi at your disposal and we have a whole selection of wetsuits, surfboards and beach toys all available free of charge (on a first come first served basis). Join us early in the week for our pizza evening (subject to weather) which is when we get the wood fired oven lit, meet some of the other guests as you eat your own hand crafted pizza or baked mushrooms or any other creations you wish to cook in our oven.
The end of the property is less than 100 metres from the tiny harbour and beach of Abercastle. Nearby there are 8 other beaches all reachable within a 20 minute drive or so. Please note showers for yurt are not en-suite. All fire wood is included along with wifi access (near facilities building) and hot water showers. There are free electrical charging points and 2 fridge freezers and a freezer in the shared facilities buildings.

The St Davids Peninsula region
3 Reasons to stay in Pembrokeshire
1. Lots of Sun ! We are situated in The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on the West tip of Wales. We enjoy the same sort of climate as Cornwall with more than 1700 hours a year on the St Davids peninsula. That is as good as anywhere in the rest of England ! The rest of hilly Wales... I am afraid doesn't fair so well :-(
2. Cheaper and Quieter. Much quieter. Pay to park is not a requirement at many beaches. There are fewer yellow lines on the roads. Pembrokeshire is like Cornwall was 50 years ago but with the internet and great food at reasonable prices.
3. World Class destination! the National Geographic Magazine listed Pembrokeshire's Coast as only second to New Zealand in unspoilt beauty. Did you know RED BULL cliff diving championships were held less than 5 miles from us too!
100% Pure Pembrokeshire
We are situated in The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the end of the property is just 100 metres from the sea. The area is great for the outdoors with more than 10 beaches/coves within 25 minutes drive and 2 of which are in walking distance from the site. There are beaches to suit the social beach-goers and the getaway from the crowds sorts too. St Davids is 10 miles away and Fishguard 6 miles away for the craft and cafe culture. There are numerous pubs and restaurants which are really great to eat at.
Walk, hang out at the beach, sit around your campfire, try one of the many boat trips, or go get an adrenaline rush taking part in one of the many outdoor activities, including coasteering, kayaking, kite surfing and many more.
