The house is furnished in traditional
French country style, which is a bit old fashioned, but it is spacious, well
equipped, and very well maintained inside and out.
Ground floor: combined living and dining room with comfortable seating,
television, DVD, hi-fi and Wi-Fi. Kitchen with mixed 4-ring hob, built-in
oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine. Bathroom with
bath and shower over. Separate W.C. Indoor heated pool (7 x 3.3m).
First floor: Four bedrooms, two doubles (140cm), triple with three singles
and a quad with double (140cm) and twin bunk beds. Bathroom with bath, shower
over and W.C. Cot and high chair available on request. Electric heating.
Basement: Large
basement with dart board and an extra shower, handy for when you come back
from the beach.
Outdoors: The
house has a large enclosed garden, 1000m², with lawn and flowerbeds,
south-facing terrace with access to the swimming pool, built-in barbecue and
garden furniture for outdoor meals. Garage with space for 2 cars and plenty
of parking within the property.

Please bring your own pool/beach towels. Electricity 0.2€/kWh.Cleaning 80€ if not left tidy.
The Brittany / Finistere region
The house is about 2k from the village of Treffiagat which has shops and restaurants. There is a supermarket 1.5k at Ploubannec. Lechiagat. 3k, has a beautiful sandy beach and a sailing school. The nearest little town is Le Guilvinec, 4k, which has tennis courts, bike hire and more beaches, and a beach club for children. It is about 8k to the historic town of Pont l'Abbé and the picturesque fishing villages of Penmarch and Loctudy. The area around Penmarch, known as the Pays de Bigouden, is famous for the tall white lace hats or coiffes traditionally worn by Breton women. Pointe de la Torche, 8k, is famous for windsurfing. The nearest large town is Quimper, 25k, which has a very picturesque centre. There is much to visit in this area including the Musée de Musique Mechanique at Combrit, 12k, and the Musée des Bigouden at Pont l'Abbé. It is about 2 hours from Roscoff and 3 hours from Saint Malo.
The Treffiagat area
Guilvinec - Guilvinec owes its prosperity to crayfish and lobsters, and it has remained an important fishing port, the fourth largest in France.
The whole economy of the district, from fish auctions and canneries to naval dockyards, is dependent on the sea. A sight not to be missed is the return of the trawlers at about 4 p.m. every day.

Good location, plenty of space, nice garden - good for kids to play. Enjoyed the local villages and markets and the local beaches.
Very clean, kitchen very well provided with cooking pots, crockery, cutlery etc. Very peaceful, nice little towns and food easily accessible. Plenty of supermarkets within easy reach, the SuperU was excellent. My son cycled for bread every day to local bakeries, and the local stores were excellent also. We enjoyed it very much - a lovely area of France.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and came over quickly when we had a power cut to fix the electricity supply. The house was lovely and the garden was great and safe for the children. We liked this area as it was close to lots of beaches, there was good cycling and it felt very French. We all enjoyed it and had a very good time.
The owner was friendly - could not do enough to help, and actually took me to two local beaches. The house was very quiet, and in the middle of the countryside - excellent for a quiet week of relaxing. Local to beaches and busy fishing port. The holiday exceeded our expectations.
