I Vanzetti is a classical villa built in the mid 18th Century and now beautifully converted to the highest standard on workmanship and good design. Nothing has been spared in this restoration, using the finest materials: terracotta floors, chestnut beams from our local trees and beautiful tiles from the famous factories of Faenza, nearby.

The villa sits in a valley in 5 hectares of woodland, garden and fields overlooking the charming little town of Tredozio below and the endless stretch of hills beyond. There is also a deconsecrated chapel dated the same period which has been converted to a separate house. The large swimming pool is set in a spacious garden overlooking the surrounding valley. Car parking is descritely out of sight.

I Vanzetti has been converted into two separate fully equipped apartments -each over the entire floor with their own entrance- that could be used as a single house or two separate apartments.

The Ground Floor apartment has three bedrooms, one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms (which can be made into double beds) and two complete bathrooms with bathtubs and showers. The large living room with an open feature fireplace opens with double doors on to the garden and a terrace with a large table and chairs for outdoor dining, covered by a gazebo for shade. The large fully equipped kitchen includes dishwasher and washing machine, serves as a family country kitchen and also goes out to the terrace for outdoor eating.

The big swimming pool, open from May 8 to 25 September, (5x10mt; depth 1,40-1,90mt) is shared by the guests, is surrounded by pool furniture for outdoor living. In the main entrance area of the house between the two floors is a restored and working bread & pizza oven.

All the rooms are decorated with beautiful art prints and artifacts to make the house very warm and interesting.

Local produce: honey, cheese, wine, eggs, olive oil, vegetables, grown on the estate, are available to purchase directly and we breed chickens and rabbits for the market. The local village, Tredozio, boasts a Michelin -stared restaurant. There are flight services with Ryan Air between London and Bologna and Wind Jet between London and Forlì, otherwise you can fly to Bologna with regular airlines.

In addition to the complimentary bottle of wine supplied, we can arrange on request for a starter amount of: milk, coffee, tea, bread, sugar, water, fruit, organic eggs, local olive-oil, butter, jam, orange juice and other items for an admin fee plus cost. For additional shopping there are local shops - butchers, grocery , fruit and vegetable shops.

Further extras:

-catered dinner is available upon request and can be cooked in your villa by the chef of the local Michelin stared restaurant, Il Mulino.

-cooking classes and visits to a famous ceramic workshop are available upon request

-extra maid service is available on request.

Let us offer you a special dinner at La Collina, the 15th century villa of your host,Contessa Maria Teresa Vespignani Boselli, at the cost of approximately 45 Euro per person (for stays of one week or more). At this time you will also be able to view the main rooms of the villa, which contain both the architectural details of the period and paintings from the period and the region.
