About the home

Cwm Farm is charmingly and sympathetically decorated, it is found at the back of Trearddur Bay and its acreage runs down to the inland sea, perfect for canoeists, sea kayers and windsurfers. Dog owners also love Cwm Farm for the 40 acres available for guests to explore with their dogs.
The farmhouse offers plenty of space downstairs including a sitting room with an open fire, a spacious kitchen / diner and an appropriately named sun room. The stairs to the 3 bedrooms runs up from the sitting room and are all off a small landing. The Bothy offers seperate accommodation but is just across the lawn from the main house, it has 1 double bed bedroom, 1 single bedroom and 1 bathroom. Glamping type accommodation! For family get togethers or wet days, there is also a large barn annexed to the end of the farmhouse. Truly a treat of a place to stay!

Cwm Farm is everything you would want from a traditional farmhouse, the living space downstairs is spacious with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and either be together or enjoy their privacy. The bedrooms upstairs are cosily spaced and all off one landing.
The Bothy offers the opportunity for guests to invite their own guests or in laws to stay but be aware, the Bothy is BASIC!

Cwm Farm's enclosed garden makes it safe and secure for dogs and children, depending on the time of year there is a bluebell wood and an apple strewn orchard. Plus the 40 acres of fields that surround the house and run down to Cwm Farm's own rocky inlet on Anglesey's wave free inland sea.

Trearddur Bay is easily accessible by Road, Rail and Sea. Trearddur Bay is just 3 miles from Holyhead, Anlgesey. By Road: The A55 runs from Holyhead across the island of Anglesey to the mainland North Welsh coast and joins the M56 outside Chester. By Rail: Intercity Virgin trains run direct to Holyhead from London (3hrs 45 mins), Crewe (2 hrs) and Chester (1hr 40 mins). By Sea: Ferries operate daily between Holyhead and Dublin (fast speed ferry takes 90 minutes in the summer months.)

“Perfect, peaceful, home from home, country cottage near to the sea.” A lovely comfortable, spacious, well equipped cottage.The cottage was very well presented,with quality bedding ,towels etc.The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and very clean.A perfect holiday for people and dogs(the secure garden was an absolute bonus) Will return for another family gathering.

“We[--]ll be back!” We spent a totally relaxed week in this lovely farmhouse. The accomodation was perfect, spacious,cosy and welcoming. We spent a lot of time in the huge kitchen, so well equipped, where our two dogs could sprawl after enjoying a romp in the fields. A nice sunroom with great views and a cosy lounge to chill out in. Excellent accomodation for a big family get together. Plenty of great walks in the surrounding area including a couple of nice country parks and the glorious mountains of Snowdonia just about a hour's drive away. The booking process was excellent, helpful information on the local area, restaurants, pubs, shopping, etc. was provided along with comprehensive directions to the property. (We did still manage to miss the turning!). We were really sad to leave after our week and can see why so many people return to this lovely holiday home. We will surely be back!

“Outstanding cottage - cant wait to return!” Absolutely gorgeous on all accounts. Great location, oodles of space, fantastic value, no hesitation in recommending. Our entire party were thoroughly impressed and cannot wait to return!

“A relaxing break in a lovely location” A wonderfully positioned period farmhouse, secluded but within easy walking distance of Trearddur. The house was sympathetically furnished and very well equipped. A good time was had by all despite the weather (particularly our dog!). Would definitely book again.

“Come to Cwm Farm and experience total relaxation or explore ,age range 5 -85 (experienced) or 0 - 100 envisaged” Cwm Farm is approached down a little country lane,easy to miss on your first visit (you will be back again),directions given are good it would be easier if you avoid arriving in the dark.Once you arrive and dump your bag,relax.Everything you may need you will find,the kitchen flows no lack of anything just like home from home,baking no problem.The open fire so nice in the evenings to sit around after dinner,the sun room with lovely views,the perfect place for a sundowner.Clean crisp linen.Two local shops can replenish your coal/kindling supply.No,being pet friendly the place does not smell of dogs,there is a vaccum if they are malting.There is about four steps into the kitchen to neotiate if you are not so able bodied.The ideal thing for me at this property was the space,with a family ranging from mum age 85,2 teenage boys, a 10 year old widlife loving diva and a 5 year old.Not to mention the husband and four dogs.There is room for everyone and we were not to full capacity.No one needs to be under your feet,teenagers can play guitar in the boffy till their hearts content,Nana can have a tea in the sunroom,children can be in the gardens. The property has extensive grounds great for exploring including its own sea inlet. (take your wellies).Please shut gates behind you and put dogs on a lead if going into the fields,the sheep are a welcoming sight so lets keep them safe.Tregardur Bay is a short drive,5 mins so take your wetsuits surfboard and fishing rod,picnic and bbq.If you go in the summer all the better but crabbing is just as much fun anytime,monkfish and starfish too.(remember to pop them back).Coast or country,staying in or out and about,all is on offer. - just dont book when i want to go !!
