Castellammare del Golfo is a wonderful village on the south west tip of Sicily. It's only a short drive from Scopello, a small medieval village with magnificent cliffs, the ancient temple of Segesta, and marine natural reserves. You can head out to the summit of Mount Inici which overlooks a stunning landscape. This is also an ideal base for daytrips to Egadi Islands, Trapani, Palermo, Cefalu and others. Local shops including a pharmacy and a bank are just 7km away and the nearest hospital is 17km away. The bus stop is less than 50m away.
