The Sicily region

Sicily is art and culture between sun and sea. This land offers pleasure and joy to each and every one of its visitors.
And to think that in the Middle Ages Sicily was described as being "seared and riven by lava and sun, like a hell on earth, inhabited by people more devil-like than human".
Sicily is famous for his architectural remains are amongst the finest of all antiquity. It is not easy to resist the charm of works whose beauty has conquered visitors of every epoch. You can come to Sicily, to see, to learn, to enjoy, to savour what has enchanted all those who have come here in the past four thousand years and to dream.
The Trapani / Scopello area
Starting from the small village of Scopello, developed around an old Baglio, it is possible to set out on a wide-ranging journey, visiting the old Tuna Fishing, with its magnificent view on the cliffs and then having a look at the pottery workshops. The coast is characterized by the white shingle beach of Guidaloca, which is part of the amphitheatre-shaped Gulf of Castellamare.
This gulf, which stretches from Capo San Vito to Capo Rama, hosts the town bearing the same name at the foot of its southern rocky slopes. The town's main activities are closely related to the location and development of the port, which lies in the place of the old emporium of Segesta. Furthermore in Scopello you can enjoy of the beautiful beaches of the Zingaro Reserve, where the prehistoric cave of Uzzo attests to the first human settlements in this area.
