Location and special feature: Kissed by the sun“ – there is no better way of describing the fantastic location of Villa Flora. Each of its four terraces faces one of the cardinal directions, so both sun worshippers as well as bookworms seeking shade will find their ideal spots. Due to the exposed location, you have got sunshine from morning to evening and always that amazing view of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, even from the bedrooms.

The fragrance of the apricot, fig and cherry trees growing on the 5,000 m² premises, besides olive trees and Mediterranean macchia, will tickle your senses. Experience an unforgettable holiday at Villa Flora, framed by sea and mountains and not far from world famous sights, for example the well-known town of Monreale near Palermo. There is a bathing bay at a walking distance of only 500 m. The holiday home:The spacious layout does not only go for the outdoor area but also for the villa's interior. The 140 m² of living space include three bedrooms, two with double and one with bunk beds.

The holiday home has two bathrooms (shower and bathtub, respectively, WC and bidet), a living room with fireside and SAT-TV as well as an eat-in kitchen (gas stove, oven, coffee machine, refrigerator with freezer compartment). You will be fascinated by the sea view you have got from the bedrooms and from the living room. When we were onsite, Mariella, the friendly owner, explained to us that even some of the family's favorite items would be left at the holiday home, for example the 18th century clock in the living room or antique chests of drawers in the bedrooms.

The dependance on the ground floor remains unoccupied. Outdoor area: In the garden, the warm-hearted owning family, who lives at Castellammare del Golfo with its two children, has created an oasis of well-being adorned by colorful flowers. Garden furniture and sunbeds are at your disposal on each of the four terraces. On the main terrace accessible from the living area, you can relax in the rocking chair and let your thoughts run free while your gaze wanders across the evergreen landscape and the sea. Furnishing:

Villa Flora includes, amongst others, air conditioning with heating system, fireside, washing machine, iron and ironing board, SAT-TV and outdoor grill. Parking: On the fenced premises, there are two roofed parking spaces next to the house. Surroundings: A restaurant and a bus stop (connections to Castellammare del Golfo, San Vito Lo Capo and Trapani) are only 500 m off. And it is only a 500 m walk to the bathing bay of Cala Bianca. You can do your shopping at the supermarket CONAD, 1.5 km off, which belongs to the father of Villa Flora's owner.

You will receive a 5 % discount on your shopping or you can profit from the free delivery of your required groceries to your holiday home. Scopello as well as the harbor of Castellammare del Golfo with more restaurants, shops and bars are only 1.5 km off.Tips for excursions: Scopello is ideal for discovering Sicily's authentic nature. While hiking through the gorgeous nature reserve „Riserva dello Zingaro“, its entrance found at the town's limits, you pass picturesque bays as well as a flora and fauna rich in species. The Sicily region

Scopello - Untouched corner of the world. Those who spend their holidays at the picturesque fishing village of Scopello attach importance to spending them not only in the midst of untouched nature, but also at the seaside and close to Sicily's well-known sights. It is, for example, only a one-hour drive by car to Monreale, a town rich in history, with its royal palace, Benedictine monastery and fascinating Norman cathedral. Fortunately, Scopello has preserved its 'sleepy' authenticity. The town with its partly shingle, partly sandy bathing bays belongs to the municipal area of Castellammare del Golfo and is located on the route to nature reserve "Riserva dello Zingaro".

The tonnara, the former tuna harbor, used to be a small village of its own with a small chapel, the rose-colored villa and living quarters for the fishermen. Scopello is not a village in the ordinary sense, but a so-called "baglio".On Sicily, that is what you call former estates which in architectural respect resemble small fortresses. Today, these estates have been changed into small bed & breakfasts; in the inner courtyards you find restaurants and souvenir shops. In July and August, it may be quite lively, but during the other months, you rather see couples and families strolling through the town and fortifying themselves for their hiking tours in "Riserva dello Zingaro".

Scopello is conveniently located, only a few kilometers from Castellammare del Golfo, which attracts visitors with its beautiful fishing harbor as well as a large number of restaurants and shops. Our tip: Restaurant N'Tonia at the main piazza of Castellammare del Golfo. Antonella, the owner, 'creates' delicious dishes for you, for example an antipasti creation of sardines, a main dish of orata (gilthead seabream) baked in tasty lemon sauce and, finally, a dessert of home-made, typically Sicilian cannolo (pastry filled with ricotta).

Although this sounds like a rich evening meal, you will be surprised at the light Mediterranean cuisine; after your evening meal you can still take a relaxed walk along the harbor.
