Marausa is a family modern house with pool located in one of the most interesting areas in Sicily: 4 km from the sandy beach with lido, and close to the most important historical and archeological areas.

The villa sits between the Saline of Trapani and Marsala.

The house develops on one floor, it is fully air conditioned and provided with every modern comfort with bright easy and modern interiors and a lovely garden with pool.

The location is ideal to combine a sea relaxing holiday with visits to the most important historical and archeological sites of Sicily. Marausa has Internet WIFI connection.

The pool features a deck area, great for sunbathing or for the kids to play. Beside is a gazebo offering some great shade.

The front garden is planted with local shrubs and succulents, behind the house is a lovely citrus garden where orange, lemon and tangerine trees grow together with roses and grapes.

The kitchen and living room open to the patio where is a dining table and a barbecue area.

The main entrance takes into the comfortable, open-plan living and dining area with wide screen TV and large French windows opening to the main terrace. To the right is the spacious fully fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine) also with access to the main terrace.

A short corridor takes to a small bedroom suitable to kids, a bathroom with shower, a twin bedded room (beds can be put together) with TV, a master bedroom with TV, a bathroom with Jacuzzi shower.

Patio to relax and al fresco dining.

Windows are provided with mosquito screens.

Closest village is Marausa (all shops) 1500 meters, Marausa beach 4 km ( with free beach and Lido), Trapani airport 3 km.

Activities on request

The owner can organize private boat trips to the Egadi Islands with skipper. excursions, transfer towards the airport, cook service, car rental.

The western of Sicily offers plenty of daily excursions: charming art towns as Trapani, Marsala and Erice, some of the best preserved Greek temples (Segesta, Selinunte and the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento) beautiful sandy beaches and natural wonders as the Egadi Islands.

Trapani has a beautiful historical center with baroques palaces facing the sea and the ancient is also the town having hosted the America's Cup, is 12 km North.

Marsala famous not only for the special wine but also for the Phoenician boat from the First Punic war (264 BC) hosted in the archeological museum, the fascinating Phoenician island of Mozia, the saltpans and nature reserve of Il Stagnone. is 20 km South.

Erice the medieval town towering over the west of Sicily at 751m above sea level is 22 km reachable also by cable car.

Segesta where is the impressive Greek temple 34 km North.

Selinunte numerous temples, acropolis 95 km South East.

Palermo the capital of Sicily with the spectacular mosaics in the Palatine Chapel, and the Duomo of Monreale, the Teatro Massimo 104 km.

The Unesco Site of The Agrigento Temples Valley is one of the Mediterranean most spectacular archeological site: eight temples (and various other remains) built between about 510 BC and 430 BC: it is 175 km far

Egadi Islands: Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo. Getting to these charming and unspoiled islands is very easy. Just get one of the frequent hydrofoils from Trapani or Marsala and in a few minutes you'll be there! or ask the owner for a private boat tour.

The saline lagoon between Trapani and Marsala has been supplying salt for over 2,000 years, worth a visit. Within the lagoon is a tiny archipelago including the island of Mothya 15 km.

Zingaro Nature Reserve, dotted with small pebbly beaches 51 km.

In the rolling hills and plains around Marsala, Trapani and Alcamo is the greatest concentration of wine production in the whole of Sicily, and a visit to a winery is a must.

Golf: Verdura Golf club in Sciacca 126 km and Palermo - Villa Airoldi - a 9 holes golf in the heart to the town that allows your friend to visit the town while you are golfing.

The magnificent Basilica-Sanctuary of Maria Santissima Annunziata, The Baroque Palazzo della Giudecca 'or Casa Ciambra, The Fontana del Tritone (Triton's Fountain), The Cathedral (1635). The fine buildings on the main Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Trapani boasts some of Europe's oldest salt marshes, and is still home to some of the restored windmills once used to drain water from the ponds.

The city is renowned for its Easter procession, I Misteri, when the town's guilds parade a groups of sculpted 17th century and 18th century religious statues through the streets in a procession lasting for 24hours on Good Friday and Holy Saturday. For almost 24 hours, groups of baroque statues are carried through the streets of Trapani on the western tip of Sicily. This Good Friday Procession is the biggest one in Italy.
