The County Kerry region
Tralee is situated as the gateway to the Dingle Peninsula and wonderful confluence of mountain and sea. Conor Pass is only 20 miles away and Slea Head, the furthest westerly point in Mainland Europe, another 15.The next peninsula southwards is the Iveragh peninsula, and the world-famous Ring of Kerry (including Killarney and its lakes) are only half an hour away. Some of Ireland's beaches are in the immediate area including Banna strand, Ballyheigue and Inch beach which featured in David Leans "Ryan's Daughter" epic movie.
Tralee area
Tralee's Aquadome is 2 minutes from the house with slides and general fun and excitement. Siamsa Tire, Ireland's national theatre, is 2 minutes further towards the town centre, a must-visit. Relive times past with a visit to the medieval centre and round off the day in one of the many bustling bars or night clubs! This is perfect for hill walkers or those other walkers who prefer to have a golf ball interrupt a scenic walk on one of the many championship and less challenging golf courses. Tralee, Killarney, Waterville and Ballybunion courses are world famous.
