The County Kerry region

County Kerry is located in the South West extremity of Ireland. The mountainous peninsulas of DIngle and Iveragh make up a large part of the county. North of Tralee an agricultural plain lies between moorland of Stacks Mountain and the sea. This coastline has fine beaches. The county has a rich history with many interesting sites, including bronze age hill forts, early Christian churches, Norman towns, and stately homes. Native culture of literature, music and dance is showcased in towns, Tralee and Listowel have excellent venues. The native sports of Hurling and Gaelic football are very active and well worth viewing.

Kilflynn is within easy reach of Tralee, Listowel Killarney and Dingle all with their many attractions for the visitor. Closer to home the coastline from Tralee to Ballybunion has fine beaches and several gold courses. Google ' kerry golf courses ' for details.
