The villa is set in amongst the orchards and in the summer and autumn months walking in the 11 acre grounds is a sheer pleasure. Lemons famous in Sicily abound here and the blossom in the spring is really something to see. The front of the villa opens out onto the trees and to the side there is a seating /patio area where you can enjoy the beautiful roses in the summer months alongside the peace and tranquillity whilst having perhaps enjoying an ice cold Italian beer.
This holiday has the possibilities to be everything from mountains to sea and really is an area that is yet to be discovered. The area of San Nicola is very quaint fishing port with a fortress and quay side cafes. For those seeking a little something different, this property offers the ability to meet the family and to enjoy all the fruits of the farm estate as well as the wonderful olive oil they produce.

The Sicily region
For one Island to have beautiful coastlines and breathtaking archipelagos is more than fortunate, but to have an awe inspiring interior also, is just plain greedy. Is it any wonder that so many nations have conquered these shores, and can we blame them; for Sicily is an Island of diverse contrasts. Firstly the hot piercing sun has mellowed the stone buildings here for many centuries which give them a worn and welcoming look; also the sky is clearer and brighter in the summer months, which turn the sea an almost luminescent colour of the strongest blues that mingle in and out of emerald greens. When you bring all these elements together for sunset, what you get is a truly exquisite view of life on the Mediterranean in its most innocent form.
Trabia / Alta Villa area
Beautiful San Nicola L'Arena, Trabia, Palermo,Cefalu,Lascari, Madonie Mountains and Castellammare Del Golfo. The attractions to this area are that you are a short distance from wonderful Palermo whilst still being near the sea and nature to being on the doorstep to some of the north coasts great historic attractions and towns.
Further details indoors: Alongside the patio there is an outside shower and antique wood oven. The ground floor has ample space for a large family and can accommodate up to 8 people. The kitchen although small is sufficiently organised and there is a bathroom with shower and toilet. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with views toward the sea and then a further roof terrace where you can sunbathe or just take in the magnificent views of the orchards below.
This is a large property and the dining room can make up into a private bedroom if needed for larger parties and also there is smaller properties that can be used in conjunction with this property for large parties.
Further details outdoors: The villa owners are usually around to greet you and they are most kind in letting you pick some lemons for a perhaps Un buon gin tonic. There is a private access for the car down a driveway which has a lockable gate and the villa owners are more than happy for you to wander around the villa orchards where you will find many beautiful plants also. For those looking for a villa holiday rental which is a mixture of Sea and Mountain, this is very much a local experience holiday and a bit of a gem set in a truly lovely location.
The lemons and fruit are sold to market and the grounds also produce olive oil and face soap all natural products of the farm and owners.

Although there are only 2 bedrooms upstairs the house also has a very large lounge with sofas and sofa bed as well as a private dining room with double doors to terrace which has been made up in the past into a bedroom double.
