Traben Trarbach is a historic town and the closest larger cosmopolitan town to Frankfurt Hahn Airport
It has a rich history, beautiful buildings and churches, grapes dangling from the houses, and is picture perfect but not too small. There are so many little paths , alleyways and walks to take, that you will not get bored. Just sit in the town bridge cafe and watch the world go by, drinking in the atmosphere beneath you with a good german beer or a local wine.
Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With one double and one twin bedroom and Double sofa bed in the lounge, the apartment is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.
Bicycle storage available downstairs, Bicycle hire and purchase is available in town accross the bridge and is a great way to spend your days discovering the area.

These apartments have been fully renovated in 2008, and 2009 to the highest standard.
We have purchased very good , quality , comfortable beds and bedding.
The rooms are mainly large, and you will be able to spread out, relax and not feel on top of one another.
All on one floor so no narrow crooked steps inside the apartment.
Lounge has Woodburning Stove for the cold months and for the mild and hot months a split system air conditioning combined heating unit. ( flick of a remote..)
Satellite English TV and a DVD.
Double Sofa Bed can accommodate 2 extra people.
Leading from the living room is a balcony furnished with table and chairs, with a great elevated view of the streetscape, rooftops and " RUINE".
2 Large Bedrooms with quality comfy beds. One German double and two single. Cot and high chair available upon request. (extra bond required)
Bathroom has Bath, Shower and WC , mirror and hand basin.
Kitchen has seating for 6 people and includes Fridge, Microwave, Coffee Perk, Toaster, Kettle, Cooker , ( hot plates and oven) and all neccessary utensils, Washing Machine and laundry equipment. Small wash line on the Balcony.
ALL ROOMS ARE NEWLY FURNISHED AND DECORATED IN 2009 and 2010.
Linen, towels and electricity all provided.
N.B. 100 units of electricity free per week. Extra units charged at 25cents per unit.
It is very unlikely that the electricity usage per week ever exceeds 100 units. This is a precaution we have to take.
Meter reading can be done on arrival, by staff.

Conditions
Upon arrival and after checking your apartment ,100 euro security deposit,( if not already paid ),and details of a valid passport are to be exchanged for the keys.
This security deposit will be refunded to you at departure, minus any breakages or losses ,excluding reasonable wear and tear. Staff will be on hand to help with any questions, enquiries and problems you encounter .
We do not accept credit cards or debit cards. Bank transfers,cheques, drafts PAYPAL (fees apply) or cash only.
Deposit are non refundable unless property is re- let.
Keys available from 16:00 on start date or earlier if available./ Check-out up to 12pm on departure date. Flexibility may be available.

There are a variety of ways to enjoy this beautiful region. In Traben you will find amongst others a mooring from which several boat trips leave the Mosel. You can rent bicycles on which you can discover the famous “Moselradweg” or relax in the thermal baths or on one of the cosy terraces. Of course cities such as Cochem and Bernkastel are appealing, but also, for the fanatic biker, Eifel towns such as Daun ( with its splendid volcano lakes) over the Mosel-Maare biking course are reachable within a day. Going back, you can simply use the special bicycle bus which comfortably takes you back to Traben at the end of the day.
Furthermore the wine feasts in September and October in the entire Mosel region are highly recommendable. The region bursts with activity and several events are offered for the Burgundian as well as the nature lover.. These spacious and modern apartments enables you to enjoy it all .
Traben-Trarbach
Well-known, Rich, Historical Town, 20 km from Wittlich,.... 60 km from Trier ( visit the roman ruins) ....70 km from Koblenz.( stolzenfelz castle) .... Idar -Oberstein (famous for their precious stones) 50km,..... Luxembourg ( a different language and quaint little country only an hour away. ..or take a bus tour there for the day.) 105km,.... Paris, France only 4 hrs away by car. ( or take a 24 guided bus tour--Saturay am till Sunday am. ) ....Belgium, less than an hour and a half by car...great for shopping near Arlon, or do the round trip and fit in Thioneville in France as well, (for a really great cultural day out )......Bernkastel-Kues 15km,...... Cochem 40 km.......Zell 20km ..... Beilstein 35km ; the tiny doll like tourist town further downstream is just beaut.......to mention a few.
Wineries, Castles.(.Burg Eltz is worth the walk from the carpark...) Boat trips on the Mosel, Shops, approx 25 Restaurants, Supermarkets, Museums. Thermal pool, (sauna, sun bed, massage.) Mini Golf, Bicycle hire, Just wander round and drink in the atmosphere....its wonderful.

Traben-Trarbach is situated along the Moselle between the forest and the grape vines, hillside and river. On one side of the bank is Traben and on the other is Trarbach.With the best bridge to connect them on the Moselle and the Ruins of a castle with a colourful past overlooking you, one cannot fail to enjoy a stay in this romantic and picturesque old world treasure.

Traben Trarbach was once the second busiest town for wine after Bordeaux in France. As a result you can see the rich heritage trail....BEAUTIFUL EXPENSIVE HOMES BUILT IN A BYGONE ERA. The streets of both towns are worth walking through. Every day there is something new to see.The towns was so advanced they boasts the first lighting in houses in Germany and second place for street lighting. The old generator building is to be found in the centre of town next to the VR BANK.
There are 2 Rathouses. One for each town, but the Trarbach one is in use as TOWN HALL today.

Nearest Airport Frankfurt Hahn is operated by Budget Airline Ryanair.
Ryanair offer lots of really great discount airfares all over Europe. Traben Trarbach is a great place to stay ,to take advantage of these great offers. We recently had some friends stay who flew up to Berlin for the day for one euro including all taxes. This is not uncommon.

ALTERNATIVELY ..Train from Frankfurt International Airport to Traben Trarbach via Frankfurt City, Koblenz and Bullay...This train is a regional train and takes you down the Rhine River stopping at small towns like Rudesheim and is a wonderful way to start your tour of this most beautiful Region. The Rhine is a much bigger industrial, working river with coal barges and small ships, picturesque villages grapevines, and castles..

We loved our time n Traben Trabach. There was so much to do - walking, cycling, vsting vineyards, crazy golf, spa pool and so much more. We found the apartment to be well equipped with comfortable beds and good facilities. We would definitely recommend it, and expect to visit again ourselves. |

The flat provided an ideal base for exploring the local area. We stayed for 6 days and were greatly impressed with the Moselle region. There were beautiful towns to visit and many varied activities to keep us occupied. We certainly had an actioned packed few days. It was always nice to know at the end of a long day we had the flat to return to. It provided everything you need from a holiday flat. The biggest bonus was we did not need to use the car at all. Everything was in walking distance including shops, resturants, the train station and river ferries. |

Stayed in the middle floor apartment (Krov), which is the only one with access to a spacious balcony. Apartment was well equipped and close to numerous restaurants in town.. Only gripes were the seating in the lounge - not really sufficient for 4 adults - and the lack of parking. We always managed to find somewhere to park eventually, though not always near the apartment. The train station is only a ten minute walk, a branch line giving access to the main Koblenz/Trier line - ideal for days out using the Rheinlandpfalz Ticket. We visited Saarburg, Trier, Saarbrucken and Koblenz by train, and Bernkastel, Zell and Cochem by car. All worth a visit ,especially Saarburg on a fine day for lunch overlooking the waterfall which flows through the town. Ate 4 nights out of our 7 in the Moselstubschen, a 5 minute walk away. Very reasonably priced and varied menu with drinks at pub prices. Landlord presented us with a bottle of wine on our last night which was a nice touch. |

The lower rates of 280 euros per week and 300 euros per week are for winter time bookings ................contact owner for details and conditions.
We do not charge for baby, however a larger security deposit of 200euros is required.
Excessive electricity usage is charged at 25cents per unit. (in excess of 100 units in a 7 day period.)
EUROS...100 deposit required on booking. Balance to be paid in full, 4 weeks prior to arrival to keep the time open for you.
To keep the apartments in great condition and moderately priced, and for our insurance purposes ,the passport of the person booking must be shown on arrival in exchange for the keys.
Once you have checked your apartment out on arrival, a 100,00 euro cash security payment is required in exchange for the key. This will be refunded to you immediately at departure minus any breakages or losses., excluding fair wear and tear. We do not accept credit or debit cards. Cheques or Drafts ar Bank Transfer PAYPAL (fees apply) or Cash only.
We can accept paypal payments but this would incur an extra bank charges.
