The Rock of Gibraltar region

A little piece of England looking out from Spain to the coast of Africa, with a rock fabled in ancient mythology and the only wild monkey population in Europe.

Gibraltar was handed over to the British by Spain in the 18th century, it has remained ever since.

The Rock of Gibraltar is a fabulous chunk of limestone rearing up over the city and overrun by Barbary macaques. There is a legend that if these monkeys leave the rock, so will the British leave Gibraltar.

It is believed to be one of the Pillars of Hercules, with the other standing across the sea in Morocco, there's a cable car that will take you the 425m (1,396ft) to the top.

There are British policemen, British money and duty free shopping. After touring the city, journey to the top of the famous Rock of Gibraltar itself, where you can take in the views of the Spanish and Moroccan coastlines

"well worth the money"

Excellent apartment with a host of domestic and goodies to be used. Good location with few minutes walk to town. Only negative was no hand over of keys, therefore no proof of leaving the apartment in good condition. The deposit was £300 which is a lot. But overall worth the money.

"Perfect apartment in an ideal position."

This apartment is spacious and well equiped. It is furnished to a very high standard and is well organised. The terrace is large and has fantastic views. The furniture on the terrace is comfortable and consists of an eating area, a seating area and a sun-lounging area. Within easy reach of the aparment there is a long infinity swimming pool with large adjacent sun terrace and garden and changing rooms (next to the gym). The apartment block is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the supermarket. We also were able to walk to the botanic gardens and nearby marina, which had great restaurants.

"Nice apartment in great location"

"Excellent apartment"

Extremely happy with this rental, I had chosen this property instead of a hotel to get a better experience and higher standard of accommodation. Internally and externally the apartment was ideal, and the location was perfect as we were working with clients who were based nearby.
