Villa Rocailles is an immaculate villa with a high standard of fixtures and fittings consisting of a main house with a recently erected studio all for clients use. The main house consists of comfortable living/dining area with 2-seater sofas and superb wooden dining table for 6 people. Access to the terrace via french windows. Satellite TV, video and CD-player. Lovely modern cottage style kitchen with dishwasher and oven. Bedroom1: double. Bedrooms 2 and 3: large double sofa bed and access to terrace.
Bath/shower room, sep WC. Garage with washing machine and tumble drier. Independent studio leads from bed 2 and consists of living/bedroom area with large double sofa bed. The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region
Set in the hills between St. Tropez and the Gorges du Verdon and just over 1 hours drive from Nice airport, this is where you can relax with a glass of the local rose wine and breathe the fresh air, unwind, and revive. Situated just two minutes drive from the village of Tourtour and 15 minutes from Flayosc, where you can experience the vibrant village atmosphere of the bars, cafes and restaurants. There are a range of shops in Tourtour to meet all daily requirements including a Boulangerie with an excellent choice of bread and pattisseries.
There are numerous medieval villages in the area, each offering their own charm. The Villages of Lorgues and Salernes are nearby with their typical Provencal markets. The Riviera towns of St Raphael and Frejus are just 45 minutes away or if you want to sample the high life the glittering resorts of Cannes, Nice and Monaco are easily accessible to the east with Aix-en-Provence and Marseille to the west.
Tourtour / St . Pierre area
Tourtour, is a medieval village nicknamed 'le village dans le ciel' (the village in the sky). It has a magnificent view out across the surroundings countryside. It has a 'table d'orientation', and if it's clear you can see the Maures, the Luberon, Ste. Baume and the Ste. Victoire near Aix-en-Provence and even Mont Ventoux. The village is picturesque and the square is well shaded by plane and olive trees. There is a 17th century oil mill in the village and a 'lavoir'. The village centre also includes an imposing 16th century chateau with massive round towers at each corner (one dating to 12rh century). There are several nice bars and restaurants on the village square.
How to get there
Driving takes around 10 – 16 hours from ports such as Calais or Dieppe – an overnight stop is recommended to break the journey. There are now plenty of flights into Nice, Marseille, Nîmes, Toulon, Montpellier and Lyon by both schedule and low-cost carriers from most main UK airports. Motorail allows you to put the car on the train in Calais and wake up in Nice, alternatively catch the Eurostar direct to Avignon or change at Lille or Paris and pick up a TGV to the south.

The property is extremely well kept as you would expect of someone's own home, with many nice features. The pool , garden and terrace are very well maintained with plenty of furniture for all occasions. H H - June 2007
We hoped that as our base for the two weeks the villa would prove to be a "home from home" and we were not to be disappointed. The kids loved the large pool and the facilities, including an outdoor mini "electric" barbecue, were ideal for our needs. The Dutch owners, who were available whenever we had questions about the local area, were very pleasant and gave us unconditional freedom to enjoy the privacy afforded by the villa's peaceful setting.
