Our three properites have been created from a traditional French Farmhouse and barns with many original timbers and local stonework. We are situated in the hamlet of Thuy in the Haute Pyrenees and although rural we are not isolated being only ten mins to the motorway with its good links to the airports of Pau, Toulouse and Biaritz.
We as 'Allons-y Pyrenees' specialise in sporting holidays in particular cycling and have the perfect set up for large groups but for many of our guests we just offer that perfect, quiet location to get away and Relax!
We are in the perfect spot to explore what the Pyrenees has to offer with skiing, snowboarding and snow shoeing in the winter, to the famous Cols, national parks, lakes and picturesque spa towns.
The historic pilgrimage town of Lourdes is only 35mins away and Pau, Tarbes, Auch and Toulouse are all within easy reach. If you fancy a day at the beach then Biaritz and St Jean de Luz are only an hour and half away and slightly nearer you can cross into Spain through the mountain tunnel and visit the amazing town of Ainsa or just to do some cheap shopping.

All bedrooms contain two single beds which can be made up either as one double or two single beds, as required. All the bedrooms are situated at the front of the house to benefit from the fantastic views of the Pyrenees (as does the terrace)

The Midi-Pyrenees region
This is a fantastic area to explore on foot with many miles of beautiful French countryside to discover. Local walks include miles of communal forest, our local lake with its fantastic mountain backdrop and many many quiet rural villages to explore.
If you want something a little more challenging, head up into the mountains and choose from a huge selection of a marked routes taking in some of the most breathtaking scenery or sign up with a local guide for an approved route.
The Pyrenean National Park protects more than 46,000 hectares of land on the French side making it a fantastic unspoilt area to walk in. A rich assortment of flora can be discovered including over 400 different species such as the Pyrenean Violet or the Pyrenean Lily.
If you look upwards you might catch a glimpse of the Bearded Vulture or a Royal Eagle, whereas on the ground Marmots and Isards roam free - as does the odd bear!
There are numerous walks to discover in all of the valleys in this part of the Pyrenees. The Ossau Valley, Aspe Valley and Cauterets Valley are but a few.
There are several caves to visit locally, along with the Chateau de Mauvezan, abbeys and churches.
Locally, there area myriad of small towns, which offer markets, restaurants, street cafes, wine "caves" and music festivals (notably the 10day long international " Jazz in Marciac" in August). The annual national equine festival takes place at Tarbes.
The historic pilgrimage town of Lourdes is only 35 minutes away, with a busy calendar of events throughout the year.
