Home description
'The Barn' is located in a small French village situated between Toulouse and the Pyrenees; sleeps up to 5 people and has its own kitchen area and bathroom. The barn has been renovated and its typically French location just adds to its charm. Whether you want to browse the local markets or get out and about on some spectacular walks, have a go at canoeing or horse riding there will be plenty to keep you busy. The city of Toulouse is of course also well worth a visit.
There is a large garden area where children can play, barbecue facilities and private sunbathing area. This really is the perfect location for any family holiday.

The Midi-Pyrenees / Haute-Garonne region
Climate in this area is mild most of the time, but best to keep away from the sun during hot summer months during the day. September to mid December is wonderful to be here, beautiful clear blue sky days and light evenings.
Toulouse is world-widely renowned for its history in aeronautics. The 'Cite de l’Espace’, which shows how Arianne and other famous rockets were built, is a continuously growing tourist attraction for people from all over the world. Our region has been visited by many pilgrims on their way to St Jacques de Compostelle, medieval towns are very nearby must see places.
We are located nearby the Pyrenees Mountains and just a couple of hours away from Andorra where you can enjoy tax free shopping. Amongst other more ecological interests you can find warm healing water springs and natural spas.
Toulouse / Muret area
Toulouse is the last vast French city before reaching Spain; therefore it has the 'Spanish' feel to it. We are situated 30 minutes away from the town in the country side, but there are many small villages surrounding us and most of all Muret, which is a 'sous prefercture' which basically means that it is a very well kept smaller town. In Muret , (this means 'small wall' in old French) there are fabulous markets and local entertainments, especially at this time of year, there are many fetes, wine exhibitions where you can find regional market products; flower exhibitions, theme festivals and children fetes such as the medieval fete. Villages in this area have 'vide grenier' week ends which are antique markets and always a good place to find the odd bargain!
Muret, which is only ten minutes away, has a fantastic water sports' complex, with waterslides and water games for children of all ages; The park is open until mid September. However indoor pools, jacuzzi and steam baths remain open all year round. You may have access to all these premises for a small fee of 4 Euros (£2.50 per adult). There is a horse riding club near by, cycling or walking tours available.
We are only an hour away from Andorra and the Pyrenees for those who wish to explore the area; Karting activities, mountain bike and canoeing other possible things to do.
How to get there
Fly to Toulouse or Carcassonne from either Gatwick (Easyjet and sometimes British airways cheap deals) or Stanstead (Ryanair), 'The Barn House' is 30mn away by car. We are able to collect you from airport and hire you a modest car to tour around this beautiful area besides the Pyrenees. You can always choose to cycle or even walk as there are many villages, rivers and lakes to visit. Local buses and taxis run regularly if you chose to go via public transport.
