Las Razes is a lovely converted old barn situated in a peaceful rolling countryside setting. With 6 south facing bedrooms, all with en-suite shower rooms, the property is ideal for family holidays as at the nearby market town of Montaigu de Quercy has a wonderful leisure lake, with facilities for swimming, pedaloes, ball games and tennis. For refreshment there is a bar/restaurant & a café overlooking the lake. The nearby village of Touffailles also has public tennis courts.
The accommodation is set in very pretty gardens with a 12m x 5m salt water, heated pool giving views over the countryside. All the 6 bedrooms, set on 2 levels, overlook the pool and terraces below. In front of the bedrooms there is a large shady terrace/balcony. Four of the bedrooms are doubles (one of which has an adjoining bedroom with bunk beds) Three of the double rooms have a super king-size bed, the other a king size. There are two twin bedrooms (one has an optional connecting door to one of the double rooms).
At the other side of the barn there is a vast dining/sitting room with a sunny breakfast room at one end opening onto gardens and terraces. The games room is also located here. This barn has been carefully restored and retains its old oak beams, stonewalls, complemented with log burning stoves.
The sitting room has dvd/cd players, ¾ snooker table, dartboard along with a selection of board games and an English library. Satellite TV, WIFI (open) is available in the lounge/dining room. There are plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs. Adjoining the sitting room is the well-equipped kitchen with a central island unit. The kitchen contains a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob and an electric oven, fridges and freezer.
In the garden is a ping pong table, bikes and the key to the local tennis court (rackets and balls available to borrow).
The owners live in a house in the garden and are on hand if required to deal with any assistance or any information if required.

Changeover day is Saturday. Please telephone us – 0033 553407113. To secure a booking a deposit of 25% of the rental cost is required. On the final invoice a Security deposit is included (against breakages etc. and extra cleaning if required). The security deposit is of course refundable if not used Tenants must arrange Travel, Holiday, Cancellation and personal liability insurance. Linen is included (excluding pool towels)
Booking conditions are on the Kingfisher Holidays booking form. Rental prices may increase/decrease at any time (updated on Kingfisher’s Website) but not after your booking has been confirmed. Prices are shown on each property page (please check carefully) and are payable in the currency shown. Credit cards are NOT accepted. Payments (by cheque, cash or bank transfer) accepted in other currency are converted at the rate of exchange at the date that Kingfisher’s bank converts the payment and any currency variation plus any additional bank charges or costs will be adjusted in the security deposit returned. Prices include gas, electricity and water, the use of the property and contents, its swimming pool and grounds. Heating, (extra oil, gas, electricity and wood) will be charged extra as appropriate.
Telephones may be available and if so often on a restricted service for local outgoing, and incoming calls. You can buy or use a suitable charge card for other calls. Mobile phones are unreliable in the region. Internet & e-mail access via the telephone is not available unless possible & agreed in advance with the Owner via Kingfisher. Please note, changes & errors occasionally occur. At the time of booking & on receipt of your confirmation, invoice and directions to the property, you must check all the details of your chosen
holiday.

The Lot Valley in South West France is a popular holiday destination for couples, families and groups of friends. Set in beautiful, unspoilt rolling countryside of gentle hills and valleys, it is made up of green fields, oak forests, vineyards, farmland and historic hill-top Bastide towns.
The region benefits from a warm sunny climate, making it ideal holiday weather and perfect for relaxing by the pool, eating alfresco and taking long leisurely walks in the beautiful countryside.
There are a range of interesting activities for all ages. Leisure lakes which offer excellent sun bathing, swimming and watersports are the area's local alternative to the seaside. You can also play golf, go wine tasting at the many chateaux, explore the local bastide towns or enjoy the hustle and bustle of the French markets. It is equally an excellent place to take a family holiday with plenty of action to keep the children amused including quad biking, visiting caves and exciting theme parks
The Touffailles area
The Lot Valley in South West France is is an excellent area to take a holiday, with lots to do for all ages!
Well signposted walks, cycling, riding, fishing (daily and weekly licences readily available), tennis, golfing, canoeing and swimming are all widely available and popular in the region. There are many local Leisure lakes these are at Montaigu-de-Quercy, Montcuq, Beauville .
There are many interesting places to see in this un spoilt area, The town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot is set on the banks of the Lot river and founded in 1264, it has many small streets and half-timbered buildings in the shopping pedestrian area and market square. There is a good Golf course to the north near Cancon.
Tournon d'Agenais is a pretty Royal bastide village from 1271 and on the route of St Jaques de Compostella with a lovely square and belfry tower superb views, restaurants, Alimentation, Butcher and Boulanger. Friday evening market in the summer.
Fumel, on the banks of the Lot river, has developed into a more commercial town with good shops and supermarkets. Nearby is the fascinating Chateau at Bonaguil, which is one of the finest examples of 15 th Century architecture. There are concerts, restaurant and a cafe.
The local population is very friendly and tourists and foreign residents are made extremely welcome – all contributing to a calm leisurely life-style.

BY ROAD
The superb French Autoroute (Motorway) system makes driving here as easy as you could hope for. The main Motorways to this region are the A10 (from the north to Bordeaux), the A20 (from Paris via the A10, A71) to Toulouse and the A62 (from Toulouse to Bordeaux). The journey from Calais to Bordeaux is about 560 to 590 miles and should take around 8 hours. We are about 580 miles from Calais/Le Havre and 430 miles from St Malo. BY RAIL
Eurostar runs via the Channel Tunnel between London and Paris (Gare de Nord) in 3 hours. Paris is linked to the high speed rail network (TGV). Departures for Aquitaine are from Gare Montparnasse station. Taking the train from London to Lille avoids the need to change stations in Paris. There are TGV connections to Bordeaux and Toulouse as well as to Agen, which is the nearest station to the properties
