Facing south-east to catch the morning and midday sunshine, Ducks Nest has been converted from an original farm barn into a pretty two-storey cottage, with wooden beams and exposed stonework features throughout. Accommodation is divided into: downstairs - an open plan reception with fully fitted kitchen, dining area, and living room. Patio doors lead from the living room to your own outside seating area.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, including the main double ‘four poster’ bedroom and a separate twin bedroom. A newly fitted shower room completes the accommodation.

To name but a few, the family favourites nearby include The River Dart Country Park (Victorian river parkland with nature trails and adventure play area), Paignton Zoo (100 acres, with 5 world habitat zones), The Dartmouth Woodlands Park (indoor and outdoor leisure fun), Pennywell (award winning indoor and outdoor activity centre) and the Model Village in Babbacombe (400 plus models with sound and animation).
How to get there
From Totnes: Follow the signs for Paignton (A385), approximately 2 miles from Totnes you will see the Longcombe Garden Centre on your left hand side. Take the next turning on your right (next to a garage forecourt), which is signposted to Stoke Gabriel. Approximately 500 yards down this road you will see the sign for Longcombe Cottages on your left. Follow the arrows around to the entrance.
From Paignton: Follow the signs to Totnes (the A385). When you are leaving the Paignton area on the A385 you will drive through a small village called Collaton St Mary and then follow the road onwards until it starts to go through farmland on each side with quite big bends in the road. As it starts to go downhill on a straight bit, you will see a garage forecourt on your left hand side coming up. The garage is called Riviera Motors and there is a small lane just beyond it with a sign for the village of Stoke Gabriel. You need to turn left here and continue down the lane about 500 yards until you see buildings on your left hand side and our cottages sign. Take the sharp turn left and follow it round and turn right into our courtyard.
