Apartment | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 4
This 3 bedroomed flat is our family home, complete with 2 friendly cats, and reflects the creative and artistic nature of Totnes town. It is a perfect opportunity for you to find a home from home for a relaxed, self-catering family holiday.
The flat is colourfully decorated and very welcoming, with lots of creative, and natural wood fittings. It has a substantial garden with many climbing opportunities for young explorers, a fire circle for evening marshmallow toasting, and a patio table and chairs for those warm, sunny meal times.
There is one double bedroom and two singles sleeping 4 (or 5 by arrangement).
The bathroom has a bath and shower.
The living room is ideal for cooler evenings as it has a woodburning stove, and plenty of family games to keep you entertained.
The kitchen is light spacious and sunny, has a dining table and 6 chairs, large cooker, toaster, kettle, and all the necessary kitchen equipment. It also has a piano and a stereo with radio, cd player and ipod dock.
The flat is situated in central Totnes which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is very conveniently placed being 2 minutes from Totnes train station, and 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Totnes town is a seriously funky place full of boutique clothes shops, health food shops, deli's and it is home to the famous Riverford organics. There are some fantastic restaurants and cafes, pubs and enough alternative therapists to offer you a deeply relaxing holiday.
We are a short walk (5 mins) from the River Dart, the Rare Breeds Farm, and the Steam railway which are all on our local cycle path. And a slightly longer walk (20 mins) from the beautiful Dartington Hall gardens and Barn cinema. A short drive (20-40 mins) from beautiful coastal walks, and beaches, and in the other direction, to the magnificent landscape of Dartmoor.
We also have plenty of local entertainment for the children all within 20-40 mins drive: Pennywell Farm, Woodlands leisure Park, Quay West- Splashdown, Crealy, and many more.
Our 2 resident cats Pepper and Pippin are very friendly and loving, and will add to that feeling of being at home during your visit. They are part of the holiday, and as such the property is reduced in price...in return they will need to be fed at least twice a day, and would love to be given some love and attention.
Additional discounts are available for longer stays.

The West Country region
Totnes is a vibrant, historic market town with a medieval castle which can be viewed from the property. It is full of funky clothes boutiques, Deli's, café's, restaurants, organic and health-food shops. In fact Totnes is home to the famous Riverford organics. It is a small unspoilt town, yet you will find whatever you want or need here.
It also boasts the river Dart, which flows about 5 mins walk from the property, with a beautiful all access pathway which runs between Totnes and Dartington. Off this pathway you will find our most local attractions just 5 mins walk away, the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm, and South Devon Stream railway station.
In Dartington you can find more shops at the Cider Press centre, and the beautiful Dartington Hall and gardens, with the Barn cinema and Theatre for an evening of culture.
Over the road is our local play park and leisure centre with swimming pool, tennis courts, gym and a sauna.
The South Hams is an area of outstanding natural beauty, and as an area has all you might want from a holiday. There is the stunning coastline with miles of coastal path for walkers, and some of the most stunning beaches in the country. Our favourite is Thurlestone which is a 30 min drive, and then you can choose the main beach, or wander along the cliff path to find a quieter one. You can find water sports close by, and there is a cliff side golf course.
In the opposite direction to the sea is Dartmoor, with it's regal Tors, sparkling rivers, and wild ponies. You can arrange a pony trek, or simply explore this beautiful place yourselves.
We have many local family entertainment centres, all within 40 mins drive. Pennywell farm, Woodlands leisure park, Crealy adventure park, Splashdown, Quay West, and many more.
