Casa Carina is situated in the beautiful coastal town Tossa de Mar. It is situated on top of a hill, so you´ve got a wonderful view at Tossa de Mar and the sea. You will reach the portal of the house by a outside stairs going down. Here you will find the entry at the living area: the living, tv-room, toilet and kitchen. By stairs you will reach the upper floor with 2 two-person bedrooms and bathroom. Each room has access to the upper terrace, with garden furniture. Casa Carina has three different floors. At the ground floor you will find the other bedrooms and another bathroom. Through this floor you also have access to the garden, terrace and swimming pool.
By a short cut you will reach the centre and the beach within 10 to 15 minutes walking! We can really recommend Casa Carina for people enjoying the fantastic view, spanish life and the characteristic character of Tossa de Mar.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region
Costa Brava, with it's length of about 100 km, runs from Blanes to Port Bou near the French border. This makes the Costa Brava a very popular holiday destination for tourist who travel by car and the cheap flights on Girona. The Romans too knew that your days are best spend at the 'Rough Coast'. In the several fisherman villages you will find remains of this period, with the burrow of Tossa de Mar as a jewel on the crown. The kindness of the climate ( in winter the temperatures rarely drops below zero degrees and well is well above 30 degres in the summer), make it possible to enjoy this extraordinarily beautiful rugged coastline and the several sandy beaches year round. Together with the hearthwarming character of the local populace, the rich historical past, the lovely green hills and the varied exquisite kitchen makes the Costa Brava a holiday region which has a lot going for itself. Drawn by these riches, many famous artist have found serenity and peace at this Spanish part of coast.
Tossa de Mar area
Tossa de Mar is well known for it's well kept old city centre. In this coastal town you will find many terraces and cosy restaurants were the fish-dishes are recommended. Its hardly surprising famous artists like Chagall came here to paint. The scenery, with the ragged coastline and idyllic bays, is breath taking. Tossa de Mar will steal your heart. Golfing fans will like to visit the golf course just outside Lloret de Mar. Nature lovers will like to visit the botanic gardens of Marimurtra. Sporting fans will be excited by all the outdoor and beach sports possibilities offered in Lloret de Mar.
How to get there
Fly to Girona airport (with www.ryanair.com or www.transavia.com) - 30 mins by car to villa - Fly to Barcelona airport (with Easyjet) - 60 mins by car to villa - Good value hire cars can be picked up from both airports and are advised if you wish to do some touring. Try www.hertz.co.uk or book through Ryan Air website when buying flights. - Taxis and buses can also be taken from the airports and there are local buses running regularly between the two nearest towns (Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar) - Mopeds and motorbikes can also be hired from Lloret de Mar (5 mins away) - Buses run regularly from Tossa de Mar into Barcelona - Trains also run frequently to Barcelona from nearby Blanes (bus or taxi connections). Aside from being convenient, this is a beautiful train journey running right along the edge of the coast. It stops right in the central Plaza of Barcelona.
