The Catalunia region

This region of Spain is still pure, unspoiled and beautiful with an abundance of flora and fauna.

If you visit Tortosa, you will see beautiful examples of medieval Renaissance, Baroque and modern architecture. There is also a varied selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The city lies on the banks of the Ebro. This largest river in Spain is famous for its many fish options. The nearest beaches of San Carles de Rapita and Ampolla are 20 minutes' drive away. In between lays the national park 'Delta de l'Ebre. A must for nature lovers. The Delta is mainly a very important area for migratory birds and flamingos. The lagoons and long, wide pristine sandy beaches are simply beautiful.

There are also numerous bike and walking trails. Very worth to do is the Via Verde, which begins in Roquetes and ends in the ´Picasso Village' Horta de San Joan. This former railroad is converted into a hiking and cycling trail and takes you through many small villages and nature reserves.

The inland too is well worth a visit; and the forests and hills invite walking. Beautiful national parks in the proximity are the Ebro Delta with its green rice fields, wide beaches, rare birds and fishing opportunities and the 'Els Ports' with high mountains up to 1500 m, rare birds of prey, wild goats and bulls.

The property is perfect for those looking for tranquillity, nature and culture lovers who enjoy relaxing, walking and cycling, nice food and cultural excursions to Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, or nearer by Tortosa.

With the children you can go to Port Aventura in Tarragona, the sea aquarium in Valencia, the

honey museum in El Perelló or the ecological museum in the Ebro Delta, with great canoeing, with the children.

For nights out Sant Carols de rapita, L'Ampolla and Amposta are the places to be.
