The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Málaga and the airport are situated a 35 minutes by car from the apartment. Recently Málaga centre has been refurbished, where you can find the popular Museo Picasso, Cathedral, theaters, bars, restaurants, shops, etc...
Torrox / Torrox Beach Club area
Torrox Beach Club is situated a few minutes by car to Torrox-Costa, Nerja, Frigiliana. Nerja was once a sleepy fishing village but now the town has a population of over 15.000. The Balcón de Europa is a magnificent promenade that was made famous by King Alfonso XII. The town boasts an active Centro Cultura. There are many beaches to be found either side and in front of the town, including Burrianan with its numerous cafés and restaurants. Here too, you can take advantage of the water sports on offer, including water sliing, scuba diving and sailing. Just outside Nerja on the coast road towards Maro is a very impressive aquaduct which used to supply the local sugar factory, but used to carry water to local farm. MAro is the closet village to the Nerja Caves, which are some of the most famous in Spain.
