The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The unspoilt tourist resort of Nerja is a few miles away, with a wonderful variety of restaurants, bars, shops and ‘blue flag’ beaches, including the fabulous Burriana Beach. Nerja is also home to the awe-inspiring caves, discovered in 1959.

The picturesque whitewashed villages of Competa and Frigiliana are both renowned for their locally produced wine, olive oil and handicrafts;

The nearby fishing port and yachting marina of Caleta de Velez is wonderful for a leisurely stroll and lunch of local seafood.

The shopping centres of Torre del Mar and Velez Malaga are a short trip down the motorway, or along the coast road, and have all the facilities you need for a day out shopping to pick up the local bargains.

For the more adventurous, day trips to the Sierra Nevada, Granada with its magnificent Alhambra Palace, Malaga, Seville, Cordoba, Gibraltar, Marbella and Puerto Banus, among many others, are all manageable in comfort from Torrox.


Torrox / Torrox Costa area

Step out of the apartment's gardens and you are on the path above the local beach. Several other blue flag beaches are nearby and have a wealth of beach bars, restaurants and boutiques.

Torrox Costa includes several banks and supermarkets, and many restaurants offering local and international cuisine. The long, level promenade at Torrox Costa is ideal for an evening stroll or a morning run, or both! There is a local street market here every Monday. Dating from Roman Times, nearby Torrox Pueblo, which proudly boasts the best climate in Europe (over 320 days of sunshine), has winding streets and friendly people whose daily life is rustic and traditional. It is a village full of atmosphere with attractive squares, cafes, shops, banks and small tapas bars. The famous resort of Nerja with more blue flag beaches is only ten minutes away by car.
As far as activities are concerned, the list is endless - during your stay, you could be tempted to go scuba diving, sailing, walking, horse riding, wine tasting, playing golf and even skiing between the months of December and May.

Nightlife is well catered for, too, with a number of good restaurants, nightclubs and bars open in Torrox Pueblo, Torrox Costa, Nerja and Torre del Mar. Two quality golf courses are available nearby.


How to get there

Malaga Airport is about 40 miles away, mainly on uncrowded motorway. Driving time from the airport is about 45 minutes. Most of the budget airlines fly to Malaga, including Easyjet, Ryanair, BMIBaby, Thomsonfly and Monarch. Many scheduled carriers also fly there, including Iberia, British Airways, Air France and Lufthansa.
We recommend Helle Hollis for car rental. They have offices at the airport and nearby in Nerja.

Pushchair/wheelchair ramps enable easy access to the lifts, which will take you up to the spacious accommodation. The large entrance hall welcomes you into the double-glazed, air-conditioned apartment with views over the pool, gardens and Mediterranean Sea.
Bedroom 1, with queen-sized bed and plenty of wardrobe space, leads via a sliding patio door onto spacious terrace. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and large wardrobe. Bedroom 3 has a sofa bed and a fold-up single bed, if required, and a large wardrobe.
The main bathroom has a spa bath with shower, basin, bidet and toilet. The en-suite shower room to bedroom 1 has twin basins, toilet, bidet and large shower cubicle.
Kitchen has electric cooker and hob, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, electric food mixer/blender, etc. Doorway to utility room with washing machine and drinks fridge.
Lounge/dining room with 2 settees, coffee table, satellite TV (Sky), DVD player, CD player/radio, dining table with seating for 8 people.

Further details outdoors:
The lush vegetation within the property grounds provides a truly tropical setting to the complex and provides plenty of shaded areas as well as manicured lawns for sunbathing and relaxation. The two large pools offer plenty of opportunities for swimming and young children can remain safe, playing in the two kiddies paddling pools. Numerous fountains complete a sense of a truly luxury holiday location.


Further details

The cost of electricity and water is included in the rent. The letting includes bedlinen, towels and tea towels. A washing machine, ironing board and iron are provided for your use. Towels (other than pool/beach towels) or any other equipment, must not be removed from the apartment. A welcome pack, consisting of tea, milk, sugar, bread, eggs, etc is provided for your convenience. Further provisions can be provided at cost on request.


Conditions

Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.
A deposit of 25% of the total rental charge will be required at the time of booking. If your holiday rental should commence within 8 weeks of the booking taking place, the rental fees are payable in full. A £150 security deposit is required and will be refunded within 30 days of departure, less any damages, extra cleaning or extra linen charges.
