About this location
The Andalucia region
The Costa Del Sol welcomes more than two million people a year who arrive at Malaga international airport and head to one of the many resorts located along this stretch of coastline from Gibraltar in the west to Nerja in the east.
With the Costa del Sol weather giving average annual temperatures of 18ºC and over 300 days of sunshine per year it isn't difficult to understand why it is one of Europe's top holiday destinations.
The whitewashed town of Torrox is situated in the Andalusian province of Malaga in the region known as Axarquia. It forms one of four urban zones that together make up the area of Torrox: Torrox Costa, El Morche, El Peñoncillo and Torrox
The town lies on the scenic Route of Sun and Wine, which follows a route of towns and villages in the Axarquia in a landscape of sun and vineyards.
The town is located just 4 kilometres inland and is a popular tourist destination during the summer for those looking to stay in more traditional surroundings, yet be close to the attractions on the coast.

"Wonderful Escape for a Week!"
Just returned from a fantastic week, the facilities and cleanliness were fantastic. I would recommend that you hire a 4x4 or a car with good ground clearance as the last few KMs to access the property are up a very rough, steep road. However, once there, the views make it well worth while. There was an issue with the wifi when we arrived but after a quick call to the owners, a man came to repair within 24 hrs. Great service! The pool and BBQ area are fantastic for al fresco dining. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to escape for a week or two!

"Lovely villa in a peaceful and relaxing location."
We were looking for a villa with sea views, in a peaceful setting and not too far from Malaga Airport.. This villa fitted the bill perfectly, having all the amenities required for a great holiday including air conditioning, mosquito blinds fitted to the windows and the added bonus of a drinks chiller. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and any questions or queries were answered/dealt with promptly. Booking and paying for the villa was easy. The villa has been restored from a ruin and has been done so to a very high standard with attention to detail being paid to every room and it is very light, airy and well equipped. The outside space is lovely with a great area overlooking the sea for dining and a super barbeque. The pool has steps down into it and its about four feet deep at the shallow end. It isn't huge but was perfect for us to swim and cool off in and of course, there was the bonus of the lovely views. The villa is indeed in a lovely peaceful setting and quite high up so therefore the track to it is quite winding and in places somewhat rutted. Our hire car didn't have a very powerful engine and on reflection, a bigger car would have been better for our family of four adults. Also, we used our sat nav which got very confused with the terrain once we left the main road so we would advise sticking with the owner's instructions for the last bit of the journey. The nearest supermarkets are approximately a fifteen to twenty minute drive away in Torrox and are easily located. We used Eroski which had everything we needed for our holiday. There are plenty of places to go and explore and of course, the lovely beaches if you fancied a salt water dip for a change. To sum up, if you want a relaxing holiday in a well equipped villa in a great setting then this is the place for you.
