About the home

Right on the seafront of Torrox Costa, this is a bright and airy 6th floor apartment with fantastic views. The south facing balcony receives sun all day (except in midsummer when there is welcome shade around midday when the sun is at it's highest). The sun streams into the apartment in the winter plus we have UPVC double glazing and heating. To the East the main beach and start of the promenade can be seen. Straight ahead is the 'Balcon' (you have a birds eye view of the concerts held here in summer) and lighthouse, whilst the Easterly view looks out over the river bed towards the natural beach and mountains. The apartment is in a quiet location (note: the road in the pictures is a quiet cul-de-sac, whilst it is wide, it leads only to the sea and is used mainly for parking). The sunrise can be viewed from the apartment all year round as can the sunset in winter. The balcony is well divided from neighbouring balconies by a large gap and divider. The apartment is served by two lifts. Across the cul-de-sac is the start of the 9km sandy beach and pedestrianised promenade of Torrox Costa with many high quality restaurants (at least 40!) and a refreshing lack of rowdy bars or clubs.

Note: You will see other studios to let in this block. Most are on the East or West face of the building with limited sun and view. They are also not so light inside with one window and no through breeze. Ours also has a large open balcony, the only south facing one in the building. There are only six south facing 180 degree sea view studios (of which most are residential, not let). Of course the price may reflect this.

Sleeping arrangements are one fixed double and a pull out single bed with all bedding supplied. Kitchen and bathroom were recently fully refitted with all new appliances including full oven as well as microwave and hob. There is also a washing machine and ample hanging space. Beach towels are supplied. We have a small safe which takes a slim netbook or IPAD.
We expect guests to leave the apartment as clean as found. All electricity is included(no gas installed)
CD/radio micro system with Ipod connectivity, DVD player and British Satellite television (freesat, virtually same channels as freeview in UK) /Spanish Digital television. Free wifi is installed. If you don't have a wifi enabled laptop/smartphone the internet cafe is only 150 metres away open 7 days 10am to 11pm

Note: UK satellite TV is changing sometime in 2013. The new satellites have a smaller footprint focused on the UK therefore some channels may be lost to viewers outside the UK. As yet details are unknown but we will do our utmost to ensure English TV is still available. Unfortunately nobody can guarantee this and it applies to everybody advertising availablity of UK TV outside the UK, even if they don't point it out.. Some may not yet be aware.

We are very flexible on dates and changeover days which can be any day of the week. Stays can be of any length ( minimum charge 7 nights) with discounts for stays of 14 nights or over.

Note, whilst we usually have a 7 nights minimum charge, if you see a gap between bookings in the availablity calendar of less than 7 nights we can usually offer a good rate for this. Please ask.

Don't forget to check the availability calendar before enquiring.

Payment is preferably by bank transfer. We can accept euros or sterling (GBP). We can also accept cheques and credit cards. Paypal can be accepted with a small fee..

Conditions

Sorry no pets (we may make exceptions for longer term lets with certain stipulations, please enquire). We ask that smoking be kept to the balcony. This apartment may not be suitable for some ages of children due to the height of the balcony. A refundable damage deposit is charged.

The Costa del Sol region

Best Climate in Europe. Fantastic for all year round sun with daytime winter temperatures of around 15 to 20 degrees. Much to explore with beautiful countryside minutes from the coast and some fantastic coves and beaches.

The Torrox / Torrox Costa area

Torrox Costa is a refined and pleasant resort thankfully lacking rowdy bars although there is a good live music scene. The attractive traffic free promenade with it's many excellent restaurants is ideal for an evening stroll . A few minutes drive or bus ride away is the beautiful old town of Nerja. This end of the Costa Del Sol is greener and less developed than the Western end.

This is an ideal base for exploring the mountain scenery with the 'white' villages of Frigiliana, Competa and Torrox Pueblo nearby. Further afield one can visit Lake Vinuela, Granada and the Alahambra are only an hour and a half's drive with the ski resort and highest road in Europe only a further half hour. There are booklets of country walks in the apartment for your use. Horseriding is available in Nerja and there is a golf course 15 mins drive away.

Fly to Malaga. Apartment is approximately 45 minutes drive. Bus stop near to apartment, take shuttle bus to Malaga bus station then direct bus (please check times in advance on www.alsa.es/VentaParticulares/contenidoHorarios.jsp . Note: Torrox Costa is refered to as Torrox E ). We can also recommend a good local driver. Car hire from www.doyouspain.com is about four to twelve pounds a day. Good (blue) bus service to local villages and Nerja.

“Why go anywhere else !!” Well where to start... from the very quick response from the owners, answering my initial enquiry to receiving the comprehensive information pack. The owners Dave and Fleur are both friendly, professional and totally honest. The pictures and video are exactly as seen but do not convey how lovely the location and the studio really are when you see it for the first time.We were lucky enough to meet up with friends who were staying in Torrox, they both commented on just how lovely the studio and balcony in particular, were. It has such a warm and homely feel and the contacts M and M where very helpful, There are a good few bars and restaurants in the area,look for the ones with various meats on skewers, be warned, don't eat much on the day before you visit the portions just keep coming and coming! There is a lovely little beach bar that is to the left of the lighthouse and along the beach approx 500 meters,where flip flops and take a towel, you may get wet feet ! To sum up, great location, excellent clean studio, nice helpful owners. Cant wait for the next Torrox break.

“Home from Home but with the sunshine.......” A little gem, fantastic location near to all the amenities and overlooking the Med, quiet yet never far from the bustling seafront with its bars and restaraunts. Great value for money and spotlessly clean with all the home comforts. A super getaway for last minute breaks would sleep two adults and small child. Not overlooked and very quiet apartment with lifts and secure entrance, plenty of parking if you hire a car and just 30 seconds walk to the beach. We will be returning very soon.

“Great views, very clean, great location.” When we arrived we were pleasantly suprised. It was clean which was a concern of mine. It was bright sunny (even in feburary) and the views were spectacular. Had been to Torrox once before enjoyed it, The apartment is central to everything, and very close to bus station which will take you to most places you may like to visit. We liked the outside balcony, which is quite unusual in a studio. we liked out breakfast out there every morning. We also was lucky to do some dolphin watching form the balcony. Shower was great . Would definetly return. Thanks David & Fleur.

“New Year's Eve at Paradise” Having stayed for five weeks, the whole month of December and first week of New Year 2012 only one word to describe my experience at Ruselo Studio in Punta de Torrox: PERFECT!!! Fab weather sunrises and sunsets at this time of the year from the lovely balcony, Firedisplays and very quiet to start the perfect New Year in Paradise. The studio has everything you do not need to buring enything with you and when you arrive.... a huge smile for the rest of your stay... anything better to star a new year? “Absolutely recommendable.” We have been in the flat for one week, and it's really nice. There are everything we neded for our holidays. In our opinion the best is the terrace and it's views, because from there one can see the beach and see, the lighthouse, the mouth of the Torrox River in the Mediterranean Sea, ruins of Roman thermal baths just below, the moon's reflected light on the sea at night... We arrived to the beach in a couple of minutes, and the promenade where there are some nice restaurants and bars. There are also several nearby supermarkets. The whether was fantastis everydays, except the last one. Neighboring places to visit: Nerja's Cave, and the beautiful town of Frigiliana. In addition, the flat's owners are quite kind. In conclusion, we recommend this place to people who are looking for relax and a lot of sun. Regards.

“A marvel for the senses” It is without doubt the best vacation spot I have ever been. A place where you can relax watching the sea from the bed. The views are unbeatable. The studio was clean and not lacking any detail, the decor is exquisite and the place quite silent. Fleur was lovely with us, thank you for everything. Definitely a highly recommended place.

“Little gem of a studio with wondreful sea views” This was a very last minute trip for me. Fleur and David gave me gave me speedy service and provided excellent information about the apartment facilities, directions and surrounding area. The apartment was even better than the advert!! Its quite compact but the amazing sense of light and space and wonderful sea views, made it a joy to be in. There apartment is very well equipped, there absolutely everything that you could possibly want for your holiday. Torrox Costa is a small purpose built family resort but within reach lovely whitewashed villages and larger towns within easy reach. I didn't hire a car and used the very good + cheap buses everyday. It was always good to come back to my quiet little haven every evening. I would certainly recommend this apartment.

You may arrive and leave any day of the week. We charge on a daily basis, therefore we are able to accommodate arrivals and departures on any day of the week and holidays of any length (subject to paying for a minimum seven days unless at very short notice or to fill in gaps in calendar*). This can help you obtain cheaper flights.

We charge a refundable £50 security deposit.

*If you see a gap of less than 7 days between bookings on the availablity calendar then we can usually offer it at a reduced rate and the 7 days minimum charge will not apply.

Payment is by sterling cheque/transfer to UK bank, direct transfer in euros to Spanish bank, credit/debit card or paypal (a surcharge may apply for paypal and certain currencies).
