Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 4
The apartment has a South Easterly aspect and sitting on the windowed terrace is a great way to start the day by having breakfast in the sunshine while overlooking the views to the beach and the mountains. It has an American Bar style kitchen with full, new, utensils, crockery and cutlery, fridge, hob/oven and microwave. It has one bedroom with a good quality double bed, and there is a new sofa bed in the living room. There is also a travel cot which is easily assembled. The residents have the use of their own large open air pool set in gated grounds with a full time life guard; perfect for kids.
Torrox Costa has a long sandy beach (about 1 minute's walk from the front door of the apartment block) and a very well kept promenade about 2.8 kms long. This has a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and shops at very reasonable prices, keeping eating out costs affordable.
Also nearby are several well stocked supermarkets ( including Aldi opposite), a weekly local market, Tourist Office and Internet cafe. There is plenty of free wifi along the prom, brilliant for the Web and Skype calls.

The Andalucia region
This area boasts the best climate in Europe and is excellent for many different kinds of holiday, whether sightseeing, relaxing, activity based, golf, watersports, walking or a mixture of all of these. You can ski in the morning and be on the beach in the afternoon. Sample the delicious Andalusian cooking and take part in the numerous fiestas of the region.
Now the new motorway has opened up along the south coast Granada is only a 1 .5 hr drive. It boasts one of the most magnificent examples of classic moorish architecture, the Alhambra Palace, seat of the Nasrid Kings. This is Spains no1 Tourist Attraction. If you want to go skiing the Sierra Nevada is only 30 minutes further on from Granada.
Salobrena and Alumnecar are about a 1 hr drive and have a much more spanish flavour than a lot of the towns west of Malaga. The mountain town of Ronda is up in the hills above Marbella and is a 2.5 hr drive, but well worth it. The town straddles a deep gorge and hosts the Plaza de Torros the spiritual home of bull fighting.
Torrox Costa has an average of 300 days of sunshine each year. Even in winter temperatures are regularly 18-20c. There are plenty of local supermarkets and a good selection off restaurants on the Prom with Spanish, English, Italian, German and Chinese cusine .
There is a very good local bus service along the coast and you can get to Nerja and Torrox Pueblo quickly and cheaply. Nerja has some very famous caves and a thriving expat community with good shops and fiestas.
This region is not as built up as the west side of Malaga, and there are many whitewashed villages (pueblos blancos) and green countryside within a short drive.
Golf courses can be found within 30 minutes (ie Golf Baviera). The area is perfect for rambling up into the foothills and the national preserved parks. In nerja there is scubadiving and the coast road is perfect for cycling.
