Speccott Barton is a family-run sheep farm in the heart of the Devonshire countryside. Available all year round, these six North Devon holiday cottages sleep from 2 to 14 people individually. With the extra facilities offered of an indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court and games room everything combines to add to the pleasure and comfort of your holiday. We are also in an excellent location to provide Dartmoor National Park and Tarka Trail Accommodation.

Centred in mid North Devon, just three miles south of Great Torrington, the farm is an ideal base for seeing a great deal of the countryside and coastline of Devon and some of Cornwall as well as offering easy access to both Dartmoor and Exmoor. With the owners living on site to help and advise, you can relax knowing that your holiday should run smoothly

Our six lovingly converted barns will suit not only the couple looking for a quiet retreat but small and large families who want a place where children can play safely, with facilities which can be used whatever the weather.

Granary Holiday Cottage

Sleeps 14 people, 6 bedrooms

Set apart from the other cottages with its own garden area Granary is the latest and largest of the barn conversions providing excellent accommodation for up to 14 people in six bedrooms: 1 double downstairs with en-suite wet room, and five further bedrooms upstairs: two doubles both en-suite, two twin rooms and one large room with four single beds. There is also a family bathroom on this floor.

On the ground floor, the main living area is open plan with three distinct areas. The lounge, which has a stone fireplace with wood burner for those chillier evenings, the dining area with a large oak table which seats 14 and a well equipped kitchen to make your stay as relaxing as possible. There is also a downstairs toilet. This barn has been lovingly restored and great care has been taken to provide a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere for your stay.

"Excellent accomodation with great facilities for a large group, in a lovely location"

The Granary was ideal for our retreat. The lounge and dining room area especially are very spacious and was equipped with everything we needed for cooking. It is in a perfect location for exploring the surrounding area, and the fields and swimming pool were great for our sporting activities. Would definitely recommend for large group holidays.
