The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Benidorm is approx 45 minutes drive from Torrevieja, places of interest include: Aqualandia water park, Mundamar where you can have your picture taken with the dolphin's, and the fabulous Terra - Mittica, one of the biggest theme parks in Europe. There is also the Safari Park, definitely worth a visit. Just inland from Benidorm boasts the well known Guadalest, a pretty mountain village that remains unspoilt, the older part can only be reached on foot and through a single entrance, a sloping tunnel cut into the rock . Another must close by is' Les Fonts De L'Algar' in Callosa D'en Sarria, breath taking water falls where you see many locals and holiday makers diving from great heights into the icy cold waters. A relaxing time can be had here.
Closer to Torrevieja other places of interest include: Santa Pola, renowned for it's beautiful mountain range, sand dunes and salt works. There is a variety of migratory birds here such as flamingos, the colourada duck and the osprey.
Elche is another great place to visit, well known for the 200,000 different specimens of palm.Elche is steeped in history and has much to see.
La Marina has much to offer with some fabulous beaches and sand dunes where you can see many of the Aloe Vera plant growing to huge heights.
Torrevieja Town area
There are many festivals during the year in Torrevieja and surronding towns within a 10 minute drive. Each month Torrevieja celebrates a different Festival or Fiesta with a riot of colour, tradition, music and dance, including ' La Habanera' a special rejoicing of Torrevieja's sailing history and early salt trade days with Cuba. Ancient Tower is it's translation and it is on the north side of the town overlooking the sea with recently restored gardens. (children think this is wonderful as it allows them extra days off school) 'should you ask local children for the reason of the fiesta they are never quite sure why we are celebrating'
The beaches with their crystal clear waters and fine sand have all held the distinguished European Blue Flag award for many years.
Playa Del Cura is the main protagonist beach during two nights every summer. On the night of the 24th June many people gather on the beach to light a candle and make their wishes, and then at midnight they all get in the water with bare feet. Summertime facilities: ice-cream stands,small bars, water facilities, first aid & lifeboats.
Playa Los Locus is one of the most popular beaches that get very crowded during the high season with many Spanairds taking their summer vaccation during the month of August: Great facilities as above.
The promanade is alive with entertainment, cafes, bars, restaurants, a fairground and nightly /daily market. Further along the promanade you will reach the wonderful Marina where you can peacefully watch the world go by, enjoying a glass of Sangria and admiring the many moored boats.
The next beach to be reached is Playa Naufragos. This is one of the quieter beaches in Torrevieja and has some great facilities including volley ball nets, children's play area, paddle boats,water sport facilities and bars..
How to get there
-fly to alicante or murcia-torrevieja is about 35km from airports-airport transfers arranged or if you prefer we can also arrange car hire. there is also a local bus service which runs regularly between the airport and the town.There are always local taxis available - but be wary as they may try to overcharge tourists. there are several budget airlines which are regularly used e.g. easyjet ,bmibaby are the more frequently used ones

Please note that a Security Deposit of £100 will be required to cover accidental damage and will be refunded upon departure less damages. A 25% booking deposit will also be required to secure booking . This is none refundable in the case of a cancellation. In addition to the above a 45 pounds Clean/Laundry Fee is also required- to cover a full clean and linen change of the apartment after your stay.
