The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca is excellent for family holidays and couples, of course even a paradise for golf lovers! From safari parks to sailing, shopping to surfing, pedalos to pools. There are water parks, historical towns, jet ski’s, festivals, mountain trails and of course, the beaches in the area are renowned for! (all 5-10mins drive). Just south of Los Balcones is the Mar Menor where the sea is shallow and 5 degrees warmer than the Med, being ideal for children. There is some wonderful architecture in some of the towns, notably, Murcia with its university and Baroque Cathedral not to mention the fabulous shops! Enjoy the market days where you can get some fabulous bargins. The best market and most popular is at Playa Flamenca on Saturdays, where the goods range from luxury clothing, leather goods, textiles and much more! The new mall at Torrevieja boasts some great boutiques and popular brand shops and even a children's play area (opposite Carrefore). Explore the fabulous coast line, for some wonderful bays and shallow warm waters. Alicante is a must, not only for the castle but also the shopping. There you can catch a train that takes you up the coast line, to enjoy some stunning views.
Torrevieja area / Las Ramblas Golf area
There is something special about the Torrevieja seafront in the evenings, especially at weekends. As the sun goes down, the outdoor cafes and market comes alive. There are several stalls selling leather, jewellery, clothes, spices, hand-craft and much more! Also catch one of the interesting activities going on, often with musicians too! Only a 15-20 minute drive. Venture further into the back-streets for some great shopping. Here you will find many small boutiques.
For those who wish to explore further a field. Why not take a day trip to Benidorm and capture the amazing Terra Mitica Theme Park, Aqua Landia Water Park and right next door Mundomar Marine Exotic Animal Park.
Just nesting in the hills above Benidorm is the magical village carved out of a mountain top of Guadalest. Complete with Castle, Museums, Shops and Restaurants, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Spain. Of course a car is essential.
There are so many things to do and see, why not try a spot of golf! Las Ramblas boasts the most challenging course in the area, closely followed by Villa Martin (5-10mins drive) and the acclaimed Campoamor Course next door. However, you do not have to be a player to enjoy the course! Have a relaxing evening stroll along the course, and explore the ravine amongst the pine trees! All this is accessible from the villa!
For those special occasions, why not treat yourself to a meal at the Campoamor Golf Club Restaurant. Smart/Casual dress is required and book well in advance. If you fancy something more relaxed venture up to Villa Martin Plaza, where you will have a choice of some very good reasonable priced restaurants and bars. Great for families and a good night out! If the evening is still early, after dinner have a browse around some of the shops! Full directions and information available in information pack upon booking. A very popular evening spot with most of our guests!
Villa Calle Pia is simply great for couples, families and friends. Not only is it spacious, great views not far from the beach, it is simply fantastic place to unwind and relax for a good time!

Your villa is lovely. We had a very restful week and the weather was beautiful - Gwen (May 2007) Fantastic time - loved the layout of the kitchen and dining area - really friendly.
