The apartment is in a small development built around a courtyard with swimming pool, a few minutes walk from Jacarilla town centre. The nearest shop is only 5 mins walk away, a general grocer good for fresh bread, fruit and veg, and delicatessen. The Palace Gardens is in the next block, with play area and bar, formal gardens for shady strolls, set aroung the former Marques' palace.
The entrance from the street has steps up to a shady balcony terrace overlooking the street, ideal for eating al fresco in the heat of the day. From the kitchen the door opens onto the communal courtyard, with a sitting out area. A car parking space goes with the apartment, in the secure basement garage, from which there is direct access to the courtyard and to the apartment. The kitchen is fully fitted with ceramic hob, oven, fridge-freezer and clothes washing machine. The bathroom has both bath and shower. The bedrooms are both twin.
Jacarilla is about 22 kilometres inland from the coastal resorts of Torrevieja and Guardamar del Segur, in an area renowned also for its golf courses and resorts. At the same time, it is only 6 kilometres from the historic town of Orihuela, with its mainline railway station linking with Granada, Madrid and Valencia. Only 10 kilometres from the A2 motorway giving access to the wider Alicante region, and further afield.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
This area is the ideal destination for families, friends or couples. famous for beaches with miles of golden sandy beaches and turquoise clear water, golf resorts, markets and hisotric towns. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The lovely landscape and relaxing atmosphere will make for a holiday to remember.
Traditionally an agricultural community , tourism has become another important part of its economy, sustaining local shops and facilities and keeping towns and villages vibrant and lively. In the wider area, there are Natural Parks with fascinating and contrasting landscapes, whether the coastal Salinas - the lakes from which salt is extracted - or the Sierra Espuna, in the inland hills, where the natural forests with their special wild-life are being carefully re-established. These are opportunities for longer walks, in the cooler times of the year.
Torrevieja area / Orihuela Costa area
Jacarilla is a very pleasant small town (pop. 1,600) with local amenities of shops, bars, restaurants, and recreation facilities. It is set amongst the orange groves of the lovely Vega Baja countryside, its name dating from medieval songs of Moorish times, and in easy reach of larger towns, shops and beaches.
Jacarilla is just off the main Torrevieja-Orihuela road, giving access to the main towns and seaside resorts of the local area, and with the motorway only about 10 kilometres away, it is easy to explore the wider region. Spend a day in the historic old towns of Orihuela, Murcia or Alicante, where the Moorish and Reconquista heritage can be seen side by side. Visit the World Heritage site of the palm groves of the Elche Palmeral. Try an evening in Murcia, Orihuela or Torrevieja after the heat of the day. There is still time for shopping or a museum visit in the hours after the siesta, or stroll through the historic centres, before dining out - and you will find these towns come to life later in the evening as the locals do the same.
