Casa Azucena is a first floor apartment on a modern, two storey complex a few minutes drive out of the lovely town of Torrevieja. The nearest beach is Punta Prima - an intimate bay with soft golden sand and rocky headlands for interest, surmounted by a lovely promenade. Punta prima is 1.5km (15 minutes) walk - or 2.9km - (5 minutes) drive.
The apartment is close - but not too close! - to supermarkets, shops, and a good range of restaurants and bars. Everything is within walking distance - but far enough away to ensure peace and quiet when you are 'at home'.
The apartment benefits from a private sun roof, a front balcony and a ground floor garden area - all of which give you the choice of sunshine or shade throughout the day. The complex has a lovely garden area with a shared swimming pool and is ideal for families with children. From the sun roof and the balcony, there are enticing distant views of the sea: ideal when enjoying a glass of wine as the sun goes down!

Casa Azucena provides everything you need to be comfortable and self-sufficient. The galley kitchen is well equipped if you like to cook and there is plenty of room for cold drinks and ice creams in the fridge-freezer!
The property has an air conditioning and heating system that ensures it is a comfortable home all year-round. The satellite TV offers you British 'freeview' channels and there is a DVD player and some DVDs - and even some books if you forget to bring your own!
The apartment has been recently wi-fi enabled and internet access is therefore available, but at an extra cost. As a guide, 7 days access will be £15, and 14 days will cost £24. Speed is between 3 and 6 mbps. Please confirm when enquiring or booking, whether you require this service.

The apartment offers very flexible external facilities, having a private, secluded sun terrace, a sheltered front balcony and a large ground floor garden area.
To help you relax there is a variety of sun loungers and chairs, plus dining facilities for 4 and a parasol in case the sun gets too hot! There is also a picnic BBQ if you prefer to dine 'al fresco'.
We have recently added solar lights on the sun terrace, enabling you to stay longer on the roof and enjoy the cooler air in the evenings.
The complex boasts a garden area and swimming pool, ideal for children and adults alike.
If you decide to hire a car, there is ample roadside parking.
The Valenciana region
The Costa Blanca is one long chain of golden sandy beaches, from small coves to long, flat stretches. Nearly all the local beaches have the blue flag mark for cleanliness and beaches are groomed on a daily basis. The area also comprises two large natural salt water lagoons, famous for their health-giving properties. The two main industries are agriculture and the production of salt and you will see mountains of salt - and other evidence of the local industry at various places. There is a lovely mild climate, with average yearly temperatures of around 17degrees. There are many things to do on the Costa Blanca which caters very well for the needs of holidaymakers. Valencia, Alicante and Elche are worth a visit, as is Benidorm with its long sandy beaches and lively bars. There is a waterpark locally, as well as an adventure park, safari park and go-karts all within a reasonable drive and if beaches are your thing, then any stop off the main road will lead you to a cove or another bay to discover.
The local town of Torrevieja is definitely worth spending time in. It has a wonderful promenade along the sea front and lots of bars and cafes to relax in while you enjoy an ice cream and watch the world go by. It has interesting shops for an afternoon's browsing and a good range of restaurants. If you don't wish to hire a car, there is a very convenient bus service to and from Torrevieja. My husband and I just stayed in this apartment for a week. The apartment is perfect! It is modern, well equipped and also spotlessly clean. It is situated in a quiet area but is within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and a supermarket (10 minutes stroll) and a small beach (20 minutes stroll). We did have a car in order to explore further afield and visit the larger beaches, though it really wasn't essential, more of a personal preference.
I also have to note what a pleasure it was dealing with Julie the owner. She was helpful, informative and friendly.
I will certainly be recommending this apartment to friends for a relaxing couple or small family stay.

"perfect for family holiday!"
Julie Warren's apartment was all the description said it would be - and more. It was spotlessly clean, all linen and towels were provided, as well as plenty of seating for the roof terrace and pool. The pool area was well kept and had an attendant. One of the lovliest areas of the apartment was the roof terrace - lovely in mornings and evenings. Julie was extremely helpful during the booking procedure and on tips for when we were there. She sent us clear instructions for the agent's office which would have been tricky to find alone. It was the perfect place for a family holiday. A car was necessary, as we had been advised, and it was a straight road from Alicante airport. The location was quiet but close to all amenities and a good variety of restaurants. If anyone wished to cook all the time, the kitchen is quite small, with little bench space, but there is a good sized table in the dining area.We look forward to our next holiday!
