Home description
Built by Moorstyle Espana in 2005, Sukasa, is light and modern with a great central location for an active holiday or alternatively has everything you need for two weeks relaxing in the sun and taking it easy. There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs and a large lounge/diner downstairs with a double sofa bed. There is also a separate kitchen, downstairs toliet/cloakroom and private parking.
Dedicated sun worshippers love Sukasa's private rooftop sun-terrace but most of our guests seem to prefer the large private patio, maybe 'cos it's closer to the fridge? The patio catches the sun all day but also has some lovely shade under the porch, ideal for small children to play in. Parents also like the patio as it means they can be sure that the little ones can't wander off as it is enclosed by white balustrading with climbing Bougainvillea and has lockable gates.
To keep cool in those long summer months there are individual air conditioning units in both bedrooms and the lounge but so you won't feel out of touch there is also UK satellite TV, DVD and CD player. Please email us for an electronic brochure with more details.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Southern Costa Blanca has a character and charm all of its own, retaining more Spanish characteristics than its Northern counterpart. There are at least half a dozen great golf courses within a 15 minute drive of Torrevieja, the closest being at Villamartin only about 10 minutes in a taxi from Sukasa. An advantage in staying at Sukasa even for a golfing holiday is that prices around the golfing centres tend to be higher but with less character and atmosphere than found in Torrevieja itself.
Fishing, horse riding, watersports, nature trails, mountain biking and tennis are all very close at hand and if you hire a car and care to tour the area then you are truly spoilt for choice; Alicante is a thriving cosmopolitan city with all that goes with it but has the benefit of being right on the coast and skilfully blends big city action while remaining a popular Mediterranean resort. Cartagena is a bustling town but remains pretty and a drink at one of the bars surrounding the Marina in the middle of the day can be very welcome. The region of Murcia offers charismatic Spanish towns, traditions and architecture. The cathedral in Murcia City itself is particularly impressive.
Torrevieja area / Altos de la Bahia area
Torrevieja's micro-climate means the sun shines here nearly every day of the year. There are fabulous beaches surround 'Sukasa', La Mata Beach being the longest and generally regarded as the best, is only 800m from 'Sukasa' and is approximately 5km of unbroken golden sandy beaches with Blue Flag status.
In town, there are hundreds of shops where everything from locally produced wine and leather goods to international designer labels can be found. The surrounding towns and villages all have their own market days but Torrevieja has its own street market on Fridays and an everyday market on the sea-front promenade from early summer. If you still haven't found what you are looking for there is a large Carrefour supermarket on the outskirts of Town which stocks many UK products.
The many fiestas in and around Torrevieja are colourful and regular, often taking over the town centre and promenade. The Park of Nations is a green, lush haven right in the middle of Torrevieja Town. It has a Pet's Corner and in the early evening has kids' rides and boats for hire on the lake. The Aquasur Water Park is open from mid-June and is great fun for all the family with high rides for the dare-devils but plenty of shallow water fun for toddlers and scaredy-cats!
Golf Details:
Three local 18-hole courses are within a 10 minute drive of 'Sukasa' and no handicap is required at any of them. Clubs and electric buggies can be hired and all have putting, chipping and practice areas as well as restaurant/clubhouse facilities. The 'Villamartin Championship Golfcourse' is manageable for players of all abilities but is still challenging due to well placed bunkers and many olive trees. Hole number 14, a 425m par 5, is ranked most difficult. 'Las Ramblas' is a short course but very challenging due to natural fairways, ravines and tall mature trees, the views at the 9th hole make it hard to keep your mind on the teeshot over the lake. 'Campoamar' straddles two valleys and the back 9 holes are a real challenge due to the steep slopes of the surrounding hills. Slightly further afield, a 30 minute drive will take you to either 'Altorreal' (near Murcia City) or 'La Manga's' 3 brilliant 18-hole courses where you will need your handicap certificate. Phone numbers for courses can be provided. We have negotiated special rates with an English-speaking taxi company so as well as picking you up from the airport we can take you to any of these courses so you don't need a car (or even your clubs) to have a great golfing holiday at 'Sukasa'. Even if you do hire a car it's sometimes better to use out transport so that you can enjoy that post-round drink with a meal in the restaurant or clubhouse with no worries about who's driving home afterwards.
