The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Playa Flamenca, lies a few kilometres south of the town of Torrevieja and is situated on the coast in the Southern Costa Blanca region. Torrevieja itself is surrounded by two natural saltwater lagoons, which form the "Salterns of Torrevieja" considered the biggest in Europe.
Its climate is dry & equable throughout the year with over 300 days of sunshine !
Torrevieja and its surrounding area is the fastest growing area in Spain and although promoted by the tourist office as a tourist centre, it is still predominantly a residential town made up of villas and apartments with very few hotels.
The regional capital of Alicante and the popular tourist mecca of Benidorm are north along the coast, or in the other direction there is the historic Roman city of Cartegena and the exclusive La Manga resort on the Mar Menor (little sea). Inland Murcia and Orihuela are well worth a visit, both of which are surrounded by some delightful local countryside.
Torrevieja area / Playa Flamenca area
There are restaurants, shops, bars and a supermarket all just a couple of minutes walk away. Slightly further afield, but still within 10-15 minutes walk are many more restaurants, shops, banks and bars offering an enormous selection of food, entertainment, services, etc.
A 20 mins walk (5 min car journey) will take you to the beaches, all of which have golden sand and are very clean. There are many pretty coves; Costa Blanca boasts one of the most pleasant all-year-round climates, clear blue skies and lots of sunshine.
The apartment is ideally located for the superb well known 'Blue Flag' beaches at Cabo Roig, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca, Punto Prima and Cala Capitan, to name but a few.
A 10-15 minute car journey will take you into the old Spanish town of Torrevieja (“old tower”) which offers further choices of day time or evening entertainment and relaxation with the lovely seafront walk.
For the golf enthusiasts there are 3 well established golf courses (Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor) within a 10 minute drive away. A brand new course has just opened at La Finca which is approximately 20 minute car journey away.
In addition there are several other courses in the area all within a short car journey away, including La Marquesa and the La Manga course on the Mar Menor.
Other attractions include diving, bird reserves, fishing, water sports, crown green bowling and palm tree nurseries to name but a few. With a fun fair, harbour, marina, evening market, and many bars & restaurants to suit all tastes, Torrevieja offers a great choice for everyone. There is also an aqua park, horse riding, tennis and go-karting all available locally.
There is a large market on Friday mornings in Torrevieja. A smaller market in Playa Flamenca (walking distance) on Saturday morning is well worth a visit.
How to get there
The bungalow-apartment is situated approximately 45 minutes drive from Alicante airport and 20 minutes drive from Murcia airport. Cheap flights to Murcia and Alicante are available from many of the UK airports.
Car hire is very straight forward and can be arranged through the airport or locally. However, we have an arrangement with our local English agents (keyholders) who provide excellent pick up and drop off services from the 2 local airports to your apartment, at very reasonable rates. This service is also available for other trips throughout your stay (eg. a return service into Torrevieja at times to suit you), so it is not essential to have to hire a car at all.

Cleaning/towels/linen: Towels and linen are included (not beach towels) and can be replaced after the first week of a two week let if required. There will be a small charge for this service payable locally.
Additionally, there is a laundry service for individual items of clothing.
Further details outdoors: As the apartment is situated directly on the pool area, children can play and swim in the pool in clear view of the apartment.
There are only two steps from the garden area onto the patio and then straight into the apartment, which is all on one level.

We can arrange for one of three different grades of 'Welcome Packs' consisting of essential provisions, to be waiting for you in the apartment upon your arrival. The costs for these are €13, €20 or €30 which is payable locally. More details upon request.
Conditions
Upon booking, we require either a non returnable 25% deposit or full payment if within 8 weeks of departure. We will send you a receipt and confirm your booking requirements. The remainder is due 6 weeks prior to your holiday start date. In addition, we require a deposit of £100 (€150) per booking to cover breakages, damage etc. This will be fully refunded to you a few days after your holiday once the keys have been returned and our cleaning agency has checked the property and advised us to do so.
